Hi, how can I select seats on RJ?
I checked RJ website and clicked manager bookings, https://www.rj.com/en/
But they can't find my PNR nor E-ticket number,
Thank you for sharing

For some reason, when i put my PNR from the OTA in the IBERIA app it shows a different PNR at the top of the page. If I put that in RJ the booking shows, with the one provided by the OTA it doesn't.

Iberia uses both 5 and 6 digit PNRs. The latter is Amadeus, while the former is Resiber, their in house system; Resiber is really something - coded by kindergarten level resources and delivers a service experience that is on par with the horror stories of IB.

The one that works with RJ is the Amadeus one.

Thank you so much I found my PNR on RJ, however when I selected seat, it showed
"At least one of your specific seat requests could not be processed. (4631 - 68202)
  • Your service selection contains unavailable service(s). (119225)"
Did I do something wrong? Thank you!

Try another seat. RJ's seat map isn't the most up to date. Most likely the seat you chose was already taken.

He is going down proudly with the ship, enjoying every little moment he can get from the lido deck, and he is not looking for a seat in the life-raft...

I'm Plat Amex holder myself and I know first hand how their customer service is excellent. But one company's customer service has absolutely no bearing on other company business. If you believe in it, feel free to. But Amex Travel is not in any way the biggest OTA - Expedia or Booking.com are much bigger and generating much more, so according to your logic the tickets should be safe too?

I say let's just stay on the ground and wait this one out instead of trying to find the silliest reason why it should stick.

I think we should introduce the online lingo of "copium" into FT, it would be very useful.
The only benefit of booking through AMEX is that you will get a nicer apology than us Expedia folks when Titanic is finally under water.

I just pulled mine up on the Finnair site and also my LIM-SCL is missing. I frankly don't care if I spend my time in Peru or Chile, I've been to both before and actually like Peru more. Even if I have to find my own way to SCL it's not the end of the world, as the flash sale was pretty appealing. Though in that case I wish I'd have taken the MVD routing instead, only skipped that because MVD-SCL was Premium Economy only, not Business. Been to Uruguay once, but didn't spend much time and would like to visit longer.

The PNR I used is the one I got from the OTA (IB PNR), I managed to select seats on all IB operated legs on IB's website except for the one LA leg.

For the LA leg I used RJ's MMB (IB PNR), scrolled down to buy extra services where there's a seat map for all flights. Technically I could have used RJ's website to pick seats for every leg.

Booked mine through LastMinute and it was cancelled last night (at the same time my CC charge was processed!), was always a big gamble so not that bothered - although am guessing I’ll have a bit of a fight with LM to get my CC refunded now!
