International flash sale to stimulate travel and rejuvenate attention to the wonderful airlines IB and LA and underappreciated destinations like SCL…

And oh boy I do love the fact that one had to call airline to switch away from a toilet seat.
This is why the PFD forum has somewhat dried up. No one want's to post a fare to get it pulled in 3h or so...

IPC does not show any flight availability, even in 2023. I even tried the Chile LAN site in Spanish, it looks like that they are not published yet or there is an IP block.

Why not book a refundable positioning flight or use miles. There is always risk of your ticket being canceled for any number of reasons. I’m positioning from JFK and I’m not worried. I never understand people who book these great deals and then fill themselves with anxiety over the complexities. If you can’t go with the flow and think on the fly then good deals aren’t for you.

AND DO NOT CALL THE AIRLINE !

Calling an airline after having booked a fare like this is guaranteed recipe for someone looking into and cancelling this ticket.

They're in the system, but for sale yet - daily flights. The goal is 80% vaccination rate, so they might push it again.

There's almost never an official announcement one way or the other (the airline doesn't want to draw any more attention to these incidents), so the best you'll get is radio silence and an intact ticket. Typically you're safe after 2 weeks of that

Realistically, they're not going to be vindictive and say, cancel your flight in the week before travel if you booked far out, or at the check-in desk. Unless there's a change you try to make at the check-in desk that forces a re-ticketing that then shows them the price, etc... the only instance of this I see documented is that Prince of Travel guy who tried to skip the first segment on an Algeria => Paris => USA Air France fare, which caused the check-in agent to look at the ticket and tell him he could fly in Economy or walk away.

Slow your roll, I have plenty of knowledge about traveling to know what to do, is just a legit question. Tone down your superiority cause ain’t happening, it shows actually that the frustrated one is you. Asking a question about somebody made a statement is normal

Not exactly true. Just entered BCN last night. You need to complete the SpTH process with either a EU or EU compliant vaccine QR code or get one using the SpTH app if you don’t (I.e. from the US). You can also use proof of recovery for entry.

But, yes, get the vaccine.

There is no evidence of cancelations. None.
And yes I’m frustrated. The more these threads fill up with people wondering about cancelations, calling, and positioning, the higher the likely hood the airline will use it as fodder to walk back their flash sale.

Well, there is no DOT involvement here, so that element is out. It is mostly about customer relations at this point.

Fare Rules

All tickets are non-transferable. This fare is non-refundable and changes may not be allowed after 24 hours from the time of booking. You will be able to view the specific fare rules and restrictions associated with your ticket immediately after purchase. Airlines policies vary. On many airlines, if changes are allowed, they must be made prior to the date of your departure, and will incur a minimum of a $100 carrier-imposed change fee and you will be responsible for any increase in fare. In addition to any change fees applied by the airline, any changes to your itinerary will incur a $30 USD per ticket service fee. In addition, if you do not use your tickets, and do not make changes to your itinerary prior to your date of departure, your tickets will have no value and cannot be refunded or exchanged.
Fully Flex Business.

My question is I booked for myself (100% flying) and a seperate booking for my girlfriend (who is 50/50). She wants to cancel now, but if the option can be kep open for full refund in a month when she can for certain say. Does this read as full refund or not?
