booked in J, which is available for the new date but I called probably ten times by now and I still get the same answer from different agents.

My last call was quite interesting because the agent said they cannot see the original ticket, but can see only a reissued ticket. What is strange is that the reissued ticket seems to be the first ticket I received on June 16, 2022. So I am wondering why/how the ticket was reissued when it is issued first....Anyway, the agent said they cannot automatically change the ticket because the system is giving them an error so they are calculating the fares manually based on the difference between how much I paid (according to the reissued ticket) and how much it costs now because they cannot see the original ticket before the reissued ticket. This might be the source of the issue. For what is worth, it is BA issued ticket that involves only IB flights, so IB says only BA can change and BA agents are saying what I wrote above. The last agent said he asked the back office to quote the final cost so that he will be able to change the ticket, so I am waiting for an email with a quote from the back office. I am not very optimistic about it...

called again, and had a very knowledgable agent. Apparently, the fare rule is jdn0yn0, but he still said that if the return leg is changed after the first leg, the new fare should apply even using the historical fare because the historical fare applies to the first leg and the return leg must be repriced. He did find the fare rules and the actual fare, he was quite shocked about the amount I paid. I have no idea how these things work, but I am just too tired dealing with them as I don't know how to explain it. I certainly cannot say someone on a forum said I shouldn't paying extra for changing lol

I am not sure what you are trying to say...as I was saying earlier, they all confirm no change fees but the problem is the fare difference after the departure. I was told here by multiple users that there should not be any fare differences to change after the departure but all agents I talked to so far told me that they need to collect the fare difference...

I am saying it says so in the fare rules - under Category 16, repricing conditions:
D. AFTER DEPARTURE OF JOURNEY THE ITINERARY MUST
BE RE-PRICED USING HISTORICAL FARES IN EFFECT ON
THE PREVIOUS TICKETING DATE.

yeah, I told the agents million times of your quote but every one of them said the fare differences must be collected. So I don't know how to force them when they keep saying otherwise. One of the agent said, the fare on June 16 was cheap for round-trip but when he tries to change the return leg it gives a much higher fare because they cannot apply the same fare (jdn0yn0) anymore in the system and can only apply this new fare (jdn0nn2). So I have no idea how to force them to do it.
Also, there is a weird language right afterthe text right after your quote:
"WHEN THE ITINERARY RESULT IN A HIGHER FARE THE DIFFERENCE WILL BE COLLECTED ANY APPLICABLE CHANGE FEE APPLIES."

Ask for a sup and ask them to have their rate desk price it properly if they are unable (ie historical fare)

of course, i did. they told me that the supervisor cannot do it becuase the system is not allowing it. Then they asked the rate desk to send me an email with the rate quote and they promised me to do it within 72 hours but i haven't got any answer over a week now and everytime I call them, they say i should be receiving email.

They are gaslighting you, there’s no other way to put it. Why would there be a fare difference if they have to use the fare that was on the day you got ticketed? It was the same price. Unless you had your ticket already reissued in the meantime.

I used AMEX travel to book this and they didn’t even flinch when i told them i want the outbound changed. So there are cases when booking via OTA is actually better.

It seems like BA is playing a game. I got a text response now: " I've asked our Fares team about the specific fare attached to your ticket. They confirm that the fare basis is no longer available on the return sector so we need to collect £[XXXX] before changing the ticket. The fare rules state ' the number of seats which the carrier shall make available on a given flight will be determined by the carriers best judgment'. This means there were only a limited amount of fares on the return route and they have all been purchased."
Not sure how to respond to this. Honestly if BA was at least honest or consistent, I would have been fine with the current schedule but since they are playing a game and pissing me off, I am even thinking of complaining to CAA in UK.

Go to SCL before any BA flight departs and find some BA people. Tell them the call center clowns are total idiots in regards to this change and are disregarding the "use historical fares" fare rule.

eta: Also go ahead with that complaint. I have nothing but positives to say about the BA on-shore agents (nowadays staffing the GGL UK line during UK daytime only) and nothing but negatives about the off-shore agents. Your complaint is not going to change the world but it's similar to how voting in the election works. Do your part.

Pretty much like to old one, just with sliding doors (not much of a thing to me really). Maybe the best thing is the possibliity to use your own bluetooth headphones to watch movies and listen to music.
Also the cabin without central bins looks prettly large
One the nicest things was a special approach into Santiago where the pilot took us over the Aconcagua on an incredible day and we had several of these views. Simply amazing.

A great experience. Thanks again to the original OP for this gift!
Indeed an experience. I was on the same flight too!!

I take it that LA prevailed in the cases in Chile, correct?

I was one of the last people to fly on this: Mid May 2023. Even though LA had notified me months before that the ticket was cancelled, I went to the airport anyway since my booking never disappeared from the check my flight section on the web site. I had not done anything actively as I really didn't care if I could fly or not. It was just a short trip of a few days for me, no hotels/car booked in advance, not visiting friends or anything, so I figured I'll just take my chances and see how it'll turn out.
Well, I could do OLCI without any issues, and flew this fare in Business as if everything was perfectly normal.
So I guess it was kind of random, and I was just lucky.
