For most Business Class fares the replacement ticket fare amount. Either way, been awhile from the last lawsuit, 5+ years. Also had a few FOIAs with hundred of pages from a few cases. Not sure where they are now...
But the ABCs.... Find if they have an address in your state, look for the same tickets (some states have 5000 limit for small claims) and if the amount is Ok, file lawsuit online, usually it might take a few months for a court date ...

Oof. Your bank is managing to rip you off in both directions on that one.

I believe the Delta cancellation letter said they would also compensate any nonrefundable expenses related to the bookings. I believe that would be your course of action here.

From what I remember from the AA Brazil fares a few years back the banks solved this issue.

I'm not disputing that that's what happened. I just think the bank is an innocent bystander in this case (I can't believe I just wrote that.) Delta should be made to pay for the consequences of their "mistake".

I've received the cancellation email but still haven't received either an email about the $200 credit per passenger or the credit itself. I booked with Amex IAP -- anyone else having issues getting the credit? How should I reach out to Delta to try to collect a credit?

I have a ton of emails from both Delta and Amex that arrived in a various out of order (logically) fashion.
I have received the 200 Delta e-credit email and the reversal to my Amex card has also posted in the last day or two.

Point being - my advice is don't worry about it. Let's the systems flush everything out and if it's still this way in 2 weeks - then go follow up with Delta.

Not quite the same, but arguably a better option for a round the world J ticket including Asia, with stopovers, for similar price....

Star Alliance: CDG-North America-Auckland-Asia-CDG 2735€ biz

i think so also, its not the banks fault, i called the credit card company, they said "did you call the vendor?" that's the first step,

so i called delta, on hold for about 30 mins, explained my situation, agent says i need to speak to ticketing, places me on hold, i waited for at least another 15 mins before hanging up,

i submitted a customer service ticket on their website, with the printout of the debit and credit details so they can see that i am out some money, over $500 Canadian dollars,

we'll see what happens

One of the two has to pay, if one declines you go to the other.
