AA/One World: 2022 Consolidated Mileage/Status/Challenge Runs help needed
.
Requesters and responders, please read this wiki before posting.
.
In order to organize Mileage/Status/Challenge Run threads, the Moderators have decided to create a consolidated thread. This is the thread for American Airlines.

For each request:
  1. do a search on your departure airport(s) to see if there's a MR already posted that might fit your need
  2. if you don't find what you need, post your request using the standardized format shown below in this wiki
  3. it's nice form to acknowledge the responder with a post indicating whether the assistance worked for you or not. This helps everyone learn about successful runs
  4. if several days have gone by and you have not received a reply, bump up your original post with a (gentle) re-ask. It might be your post was missed in the fray
For each response:
  1. quote the original request
  2. include the route cities, price, airline, cabin/class, EQMs/EQDs, and dates for the solution(s) found
  3. whenever possible, include a link to the solution as found on Google Flights, or attach as screen print of the solution if from another source

_________________________________________________

For each request, use this format as shown. A glossary follows to clarify each entry.

Departure Airport(s):
EQMs or EQSs Needed:
EQDs Needed:
Max Budget:
Available Travel Dates:
Max # Travel Nights:
AA only, or Partners Okay:
Have Chinese Visa? (Y/N):

If there is additional information you'd like to share that is pertinent to your request, feel free to add it after this standardized request format.
_________________________________________________

GLOSSARY:
Departure Airport(s): list the airport codes of any airports you can depart from, identifying preferred airports if any
EQMs or EQSs Needed: the number of each/either that you need to reach status. Please be as precise as possible, as some MRs can be within a few of your goal.
EQDs Needed: the number that you need to reach status. Please be as precise as possible, as some MRs can be within a few of your goal.
Max Budget: the maximum amount you're willing to spend to reach status. Less is always preferable, but a max is an important factor. Please make this a realistic number for your goal.
Available Travel Dates: list the range of dates you're available. The more you list, the better your chances of getting a good MR.
Max # Travel Nights: the maximum number of nights you're willing to be away. The nights might be at the destination or at a layover city. If cannot be gone overnight at all, list 0 or "day run only". Again, please make this realistic for your goal.
AA only, or Partners Okay: if you want to only AA-coded flights (e.g. for upgrades, etc), then list "AA only". If you are okay with flying on partners (especially useful for EQD runs), then list "either".
Have Chinese Visa? (Y/N): if you have a Chinese visa that will be valid at the time of the MR, then list "Y". Many good MRs have destinations in China, but you need a visa for those destinations.

Four segments r/t EWR-FLL for $227:

Turnaround is only an hour, so a little risky. Play around with Google Flights for different dates, origin/destination, etc.

Look at round-trip flights to California or the northwest.

thank you so much for your advice last week!
I ended up booking PWM-PHL-LAS-LAX-OGG-LAX-ORD-RSW (with PWM and RSW being the route I actually needed to travel)

It went really well and Im kinda sad I wont get to have a reason to do this type of silly travel again.

I shouldve listened to you about weather and delays though. Ended up stuck in Chicago for a whole day then just flying to Dallas for the night before going to Florida. Luckily there was a 15 min mechanical delay (after an 8 hour weather delay) so AA gave us vouchers for hotels/taxis/meals for the night lol.

Anywayyyyy it worked out somehow and I got 14.6k EQMs for my PP status and had some fun! Thanks again for not laughing at me and giving some solid advice ❤️❤️

That's great. I would have bet you'd run into problems before the sixth segment, so it sounds like you had good luck. Did you do the overnight in Hawaii?

Well, you might. Miles don't matter in the LP system but segments still matter.

I didnt end up doing an overnight. Had something come up at home. Next time definitely will though!

And very true about the segments! This one trip ended up getting me 8 of them! Thats already almost a third of what I need for the year I guess. Hopefully was worth it!

thanks again!

AS segment posting after elite qualifying year

I had a flight segment this past week on AS that, if posted before 2/28 confirms my AA status this year as it was needed to meet the EQD requirement. Did anyone know what happens if it posts after the qualifying year even though I flew prior to 2/28? Will I still achieve status for 2022? Thank you in advance.I did include my AA frequent flyer# on the booking.

Not a mileage run per say, but thought I'd get ideas about a trip I am planning this summer. I will be going to Spain the last weekend of May (starting in Barcelona and leaving from Madrid) and Italy the first weekend of June for a couple weeks (starting in Milan and leaving from Rome). I am either leaving from Nashville or Chattanooga (likely Chattanooga as it is easier to get there). I've seen the routes either on Finnair through Helsinki or on Iberia via Madrid. Anyone have any thoughts? I don't know if it is worth it to book the whole trip on the same itinerary or book separate ones?

Finnair and Iberia seem to have similar Miles awarded. So either airline should be okay. I am flying Finnair later this month (DFW-HEL-SIN) for a one day return (more or less a LP run). For me Finnair was the winner (direct flights from DFW) and also they operate Airbus 350 EWB planes where as Iberia would require I fly AA or BA metal from DFW or fly from JFK on Airbus A330.

Hello I have two separate trips to East Asia from Europe so I was wondering if there are good routes to max out TPs. I am with JAL Mileage Bank but wanted to check if there are alterantive options!

Departure Airport(s): AMS, DUS, FRA, or other closeby cities for repositioning
Arrival Airports: Seoul and Tokyo
Segments Needed: I can do several depending on the route
Max Budget: 1300 EUR for each flight?
Available Travel Dates: September for Seoul and November for Japan (at least that is how I wanted it)
AA only, or Partners Okay: Anything that earns on JAL segments
