Having difficulty booking something useful. I have a 2 AUG - 9 AUG unflown ticket (via priceline) which I'm trying to change under the LHR temporary rules, but it's not clear to me if I can book them under the 13 September fare rules and travel after 13 September.

(They won't let me move my remaining inbound leg of a flight where first segment was flown in November 2021, even though there's A availability. It's currently set for 1 SEP. I'll HUCAAAAAAA but unclear to what ultimate result.)

I have Priceline AA-specific credit to use from another cancelled R/T, as well as another flight in September booked, and actually need to do 3 TATLs in September for conferences anyway.

This is not the most fun game I've ever played.

*Disclaimer - I have never dealt with Priceline customer care before
For those booked via Priceline and were successful with re-schedule via Priceline or someone actually managed via AA?
I have flown outbound and trying to move inbound to later date but seems like Priceline calls are randomly routed to people with zero knowledge.
After 5 hrs total today with 3 different PL agents due to call drops, I got nowhere. Strictly insisting on latest day of completion by original tikceting date, strange alternatives etc.
Called AA EXP desk afterwards with polite request if there is anything they can do and was off in 5-6 minutes (though with additional 133 usd per passenger charge, but I am ok with it )with new tickets changed to mid next year.

The outbound flight was fun, I mean it is no AF or LH F, but pursers were great.

Does anyone have difficulty claiming the MAD-CMN-MAD segment (operated by IB regional air nostrum) with BAEC?
It should give 40 TP OW and count as an eligible segment. I have completed my trip, but none of the Air Nostrum segments were posted.
Regular IB and TATL on both AA and BA were posted just fine.

I am still waiting for my CMN-MAD and MAD-LHR segments to post, AA over water posted immediately.

Flew MIA-LHR-MAD return leg on BA 208 on 1 September *and* managed to move the same-day AA 57 booking I had to 16 October as an even exchange hours before the flight after trying and failing multiple times before!

(Such an adventure. Was at a conference at Stanford and had my car broken into/pelican luggage pried open on campus on the afternoon 31 August (they stole all my dirty clothes and toiletries, then dumped them in a pile elsewhere on campus; the deputy handling it was amazing and I got my stuff back, although my luggage is damaged and won't be replaced until I get back to the US). Don't leave anything in your car in California (which I knew), but didn't realize same rule applied on Stanford's campus too.)

Bought SFO-MIA AA flight and got an OWE upgrade to First, rather than the AS SFO-SEA-MIA I was going to fly otherwise. Had to collect my bag at MIA and re-check, which sucked. Went to AA Flagship First to check in and was told I'd have to check in at BA, which was painfully slow and a long line developed. They didn't TSA Pre me so I used the Priority screening line instead (as the line behind me had turned into an hour wait for even Emerald/First); forgot how horrible non-Pre TSA is.

Went to the Flagship First lounge. Kind of wanted a shower first, but was escorted directly from downstairs to Flagship Dining. Excellent meal and service, with 2 drinks, 2 apps, and 2 mains, although the pork was overcooked and dry. Tipped $20 which seems appropriate. Took a shower, then log walk to E gates to board. Boarding was chaotic but at least being First I got to get out of it quickly.

Seat on BA A380-800 was nice. No wifi on plane. Crew were nice but not as great as my previous BA First experience back in November. Food was ok; tea was lukewarm, coffee was lukewarm and flavorless (espresso was basically a tiny coffee), steak was overcooked, slept through breakfast although they did offer and brought bacon + tea on request.

Heathrow transfer wasn't amazing (no special path for premium cabins, except at one screening point), but I beat the rush. Got to CCR with 3-4h to wait before LHR-MAD. Showers at LHR are such a disappointment, and in general CCR is inferior to AA Flagship Lounge in most ways. Flagship Dining was markedly better than anything at CCR. CCR bar was fine (I was drinking mocktails), but even my server commented on how slow service from the kitchen was. LHR-MAD was delayed but overall a decent Euro Business flight. Ubered to a hotel in MAD (which is oddly expensive for the room; I guess it's the end of high season right now)

Miles credited for both segments within a day after flight. I felt tired/ill the day of my MAD-CMN so remained in MAD instead, alas (hadn't made reservations for either MAD or CMN so it was easy to just book in MAD instead -- will do CMN next trip.

I'm 30k miles short (and 6 AS segments) for AS MVPG75K 2023. Some anxiety about reaching this; I'll probably be at 10k short after planned travel (including the second MIA-LHR-MAD-CMN); might do a CX BER-HKG-NRT in paid business one-way in late October.

Anyone tried to change recently? Was told twice yesterday by different agents that AA flights are available they are not able to see availability on IB flights LHR / MAD / CMN but in EF.com every flight is J9. Searching on Matrix does not yield any results but that is because there is no AA A fare filled between MIA and CAS. Just curious of anyone tried.

As recently as last week 29/09, I changed the MAD-CMN to Christmas without a hitch, calling the AA Spain line.
That there is no current fare wouldn’t have any bearing on this, since the historical fare must be used as you are changing the back end of the ticket.

Datapoint (last one I guess):

Finally changed to last possible day of commencing return. First agent kept insisting on one year validity of ticket since issuance, HUCA, next agent was also slightly clueless and kept quoiting covid extensions, but after confirmation from rate desk proceeded to change the ticket.
Paid ~10 USD in taxes and booking now shows F instead of A class.

Finished all (but the last segment) this May. However, I just received a schedule change notification about a flight NEXT May. When I opened my PNR, I can see half of my already flown schedule is there, but with 2023 dates. I think an agent forwarded some segments for 1 year while changing my trip, but forgot to remove them.

Is there a way to find out I could actually fly them? Tried Saudia, but it doesn't allow to open AA bookings.

What a coincidence, today I actually called AA to change my last segment, MAD-RAK to early 2023, and they asked me about the last 2 segments, from JFK-LHR and LHR-MAD if I had flown those segments (asked me twice to confirm), I was so tempted to say no - but confirmed that those segments have been flown.
No repricing/fare/fees for the change of the dates. This has got to be one of the best tickets so far with limited push backs/issues relating to changing dates - all as per historical fare after the flying the first segments.

Cheers!

I flew the final return MIA-LHR and LHR-MAD on 16 OCT/17 OCT. (and then a TK redemption LOT MAD-WAW, and a QR Q-Suites WAW-DOH-BKK). Seems like Flagship Dining at MIA has been dramatically cost engineered (all the "good" chef items were removed, service was mediocre at best, no interesting cocktails, etc.), BA meal was ok, an CCR was 1) mobbed 2) mediocre. But miles credited to AS within a day and this was the second best "business class" in the sky to get to Europe, so I'm quite happy for the price. Sadly missed the MAD-CMN; going to have to explore Morocco more someday, but

I agree. I've had some amazingly good Flagship First Dining meals, while CCR dining has been mediocre to decent, never amazing. And CCR dining always seems to take ages. We've given up and left while waiting for our food on more than one occasion. Even just a slice of pie can take well over an hour to arrive.

You can try looking at a partner's version of the PNR (e.g., use IB's PNR and check on their web site). I doubt you could fly any of those pushed-out segments because in order to check in, there needs to be an unused ticket coupon that matches the segment, for each segment that you're trying to check in for. Remember that there are two parts to every booking: the PNR, which has your flight reservations, and the ticket, which has the flight coupons. Now, if you have unflown flight coupons that match those future-dated segments, then sure. But it sounds like you flew them, so the coupons will be marked as flown.
