If it is a voluntary change then it requires all AA flights on a fare compoment (IB marketed will not work/ price with AA operated by BA over the pond).
For those having issues with agents pricing the itinerary for voluntary changes could it be the issues with prices loaded from CAS and not CMN?
On another matter do we need a PCR test to leave the country? Confused with what i see on the web, hopefully the information is outdated. Want to make a same day airport layover.

About to contact AA again to push up my flights a few days earlier so that I can positioned myself for the CGK-SFO in J for $1.2k on Singapore/Swiss/Swiss

Just a quick data point, I was just able to moved up my return dates a few days with no different in fares or taxes. I did checked on AA to make sure AA38 (MIA-LHR) has A class available though. There are some days that I wanted to travel that only has "First-Flexible" aka F fare. So guess I'll just spend an extra day once I get to CMN and then a one way trip from there to CGK to start on another deal that was posted on here, CGK-SFO for 950 euros
Oh, I used the AA's chat function on the website and this time, it took only 1 try... versus 4 the first time lol

Is Binaxnow available for purchase at LHR or nearby? Any other good Covid Ag test options to enter USA when transitting LHR overnight?

Was on the phone with AA over 2 hours last night changing the return date after flying the outbound last month on this "A" fare. Oddly the agent was not able to put me on the one AA 38 "A" fare MIA-LHR I found on AA.com but instead put me on the later BA flight MIA-LHR. I am good with that

The only explanation is the agent may have been new - after not seeing the A inventory that I saw on aa.com she also did not seem familiar with historical pricing until I read the fare rules to her. She asked for another return date and gave her one in September At this point she got a supervisor involved which is where I was put on hold about 6 times over the 2 hour period. The MIA-LHR is now on AA 6959 codeshare on a BA A380. On a previous call to change this ticket I was advised the return TATL required an AA operated flight. The fact BA flight was allowed as operator should make it easier to change in future as BA has more A inventory .

Correct, traveled already commenced on the outbound CMN-MIA.

And dang.. wished I was booked on the later BA flight, so I'll give that a try later on. I was planning to do MIA-LHR, LHR-MAD, put MAD-CMN in the future indefinitely, then MAD-DOH-CGK, then start to the CGK-SFO deal from there. The AA flight time works better since it arrives at LHR at 0925, and the LHR-MAD depart at 1050, arrive to MAD at 1425 enough time for me to check in with QR for the 1600 flight.

For the flyertalkers who will make this trip soon: The arrival test at CMN is scrapped and there are talks that the pre-arrival test will be scrapped very soon. Arrival at CMN was painless but please arrive early for your departure. All (unnecessary) checks took 1,5 hours to go through. And yes, that’s by using the ‘fast lane’.

Has anyone tried to change the trip partway through the outbound to insert a stopover in a city? I was told by 2 agents that it's not possible to change the trip until the outbound has been completely flown, but that wasn't my understanding
Booked on the First Flexible ($1159) option

Ugh, help please?
I have the return/inbound leg of an already half flown ticket, departing tomorrow. I need to push it to later in May (and I have a separate one-way return CMN-MAD-LHR-MIA on 27 May).
I just spent 35 minutes on hold (mostly) with AA CSR to be told "cannot fly on BA", I wanted to do the BA A380 MIA-LHR. I thought the historical fare rules allowed BA? I mentioned that, she didn't believe/said rate desk said AA. I did the HU part of HUCA, but want to be better armed for the return call. What should I say? (I'll fly AA if I have to, but BA A380 would be vastly better...)

Nope, that's a wrong assumption. The TATL sectors had to be AA by AA. And IB flights within IATA area 2. Those, who booked an AA by BA segment for a TATL sector, benefited from a system loophole, while that wasn't supposed to be doable as per the fare rules.

Ah, ok. I just had the AA-codeshare-on-BA flight repriced as...+$12500, so I guess I'll try again and just do an AA flight. Meh. I guess the first time it got changed onto BA was due to involuntary schedule change or something.
