Managed to book CDG-HNL via LHR, JFK and LAX. Return is via LAX and JFK only. Thanks OP! Hope they don't cancel the tickets, booked for Christmas and New Years.
Booked by calling BA in the US, and asked to be charged in GBP. BA flight are ticketed and but still waiting for the AA ones.
Looks like it. I tried changing the JFK-CDG from AA to BA via LHR, and the agent couldn't get anything (only EI or AA nonstop).

Who did you book with? if you booked with BA, only BA's e-ticket matters. AA uses different system and will create one or more AA PNRs to cover parts of your trip. I had 4 on one trip in the past.
