Any idea on range of dates available ?

Flying for Fun Aug 11, 2020 12:10 am

It looks like this books into I class. Unfortunately, it only earns 70% EQM if crediting to AS.

Also only 70% Base miles on AA, EQM is 2.0× & EQD 14%.

Seems to be available from all points in Germany to all points in Japan, with most itineraries requiring a stop in HEL or LHR if JAL doesn't serve it directly.

Nice find!

Looks like September - 25 March 2021.

Maximum stay requirements:TRAVEL FROM LAST STOPOVER MUST COMMENCE NO LATER THAN 12
MONTHS AFTER DEPARTURE FROM FARE ORIGIN.

Do I understand correctly that JL's policy is that tickets purchased up to 30th of September 2020 may be changed/canceled free of charge?
As for now chances that Japan will reopen for Europeans by March 2021 are not great :(

tiamsanit Aug 11, 2020 12:15 am

if this is a normal time then i'd grab it without hesitation
But

Turn out to be error fare, not honored, cancel in to voucher... Tada
Just kidding

Changed yes - but fare difference applies. Cancelled no.

Which is why sadly, I will have to pass on this great fare :(

Agreed, unfortunately. Do JL I fares ever come with a cancellation policy, paid even?

Last inbound 25 March 2021. I think the big red flag here is the issue of entry into Japan.

I'm German. There's a chance they'd let me into the country by next March. But I highly doubt it would be without a mandatory quarantine.

tempting, but not worth the hustle and grief cycle.

Oh man, would love to book this, but as an American living in Germany, I just don't see the possibility of flying it.....heartbreaking.

Thanks for sharing Flyingfares. I couldn't resist the price and I've always enjoyed the JAL onboard service.

Everything is crossed that it is possible to travel!
