My ticket via SFO has not been downgraded yet. but if it is (and I am pretty sure it will be), I will cancel it and book a BA TP run from SOF instead...

I believe this is totally a GO ticket but who knows what will happen in July. The travel and border-opening situation in Czech goes in rather bad-future-looking way.

Yep but for like tens of thousands of miles. They really keep the F exclusive.

While I didn't hop on this fare as I knew AF wouldn't let this fly, I'd count yourselves lucky they're even letting you fly in J. I expected them to downgrade to Y or unilaterally refund, though who knows they might do so on day of flight.

Claim EU261, fly it in J and you're still flying for cheaper than a Y fare

I do not think it is a great deal 500$ for a one way. It is half of a good promo and you have to position in a country with 120$ visa.
If I fly in J, I prefer the BUD deal where I have the return flight in J as well for the almost same price.

If you really need this flight, then it is another story... If it is for the sake of flying, then better deals to come
