Ok found a back to back itinerary that works for me on Expedia for Ł1057.90....

It works only with multi destination on EK website. You won't be able to ticket Penang return through EK website. You have to depart from Penang, return to singapore.

No, multi city, only way to ticket it through EK website actually...

At best it looks like you'll arrive 430am and leaving about 22 hours later around 230am
I'm not seeing any availability anymore though, I think EK caught it...
