Is there any precedent for this type of sale from LH actually being a good deal?
I could see this being like the old Amex Platinum IAP when it was 2-for-1 - only valid on full-ish/refundable fares, and then if you add on the carrier surcharge for the companion, you end up well over what a discounted A/P fare costs, albeit with the benefit of it being refundable.

I forgot that actually LH flies a 346 to/from PHL sometimes. That has F. Looks like they will put it back on the route starting March 29th. So if this sale is ever real, there’s an option for direct flights in F from PHL. We shall see...

I got a similar advertisement from Swiss, with the same city pairs. No coupon code or anything, and when trying to book through their regular booking site it does not look like a sale (something like $24K a person R/T...).
