I changed again after a cancellation. But no hope to enter HKG w/o quarantine in 05/22.

My inbound HEL-FRA cancelled, they rebooked me to an overnight itin, 16 hours in HEL. I claim that is significant schedule change and does entitle me to a free change. denied by agent.
also agent claimed that quarantine rules are not reasons for change without repricing. I rebooked the itin for Dec departing in a few days, 11 months ago, for 8 days in HKG, and nobody could have known they not only extended the period but also enhanced it.
Anyone encountered similar issue?

thanks, worked like a charm. the other agent today did not even bat a single eye, sent tix over faster than my usual AY-related depression could kick in.

Complete inability to talk to anyone in the UK or use the chatbot on the few times I've tried over the last week. I also found the telephone number of the AY ticket office in LHR is no longer in service.

However, there was no wait when I called the Sydney office, and the chap there seemed rather bored and was happy to re-arrange it for free to November.

I spent a couple of hours at AY chat (PC and mobile).First run as number 14 took more than one hour and as a result I should pay add US-$ 1700,- for date change. Thanks and HUACA.
Next session took 50 minutes but the cc-lady change free of charge to 11/2022. Btw. I got no cancellation/change from AY; so NO involuntary .

AY seem to have cancelled HKG flights for the rest of Feb and March. So time to think about next move or maybe its time for refund.. According to previous posters AY is still willing to postpone these tickets from hmmm..2019.

I still have one of these open (booked through Expedia but changed several times already on AY chat).
I have flights next week, plenty of changes to them! Can anyone advise the latest re changes to these with AY? Seems a bit hit and miss from the comments above, but any idea how far ahead we can change?

Tried a few times by chat, but being told they will only change to the latest 31st May, otherwise fare difference. Seems it could be the end of the road for this ticket....!
Will try again, but original departure now <48 hours so not much time!
Has anyone had success by phone - I remember this used to be much worse than chat?

Same same.. I just had a chat with a helpful agent (have had a few refusing to assist with Expedia tkt) and had no issues with rebooking to the end of January 2023.
