Will try my luck within the next couple of days and ask (via chat) to move the flights to 10/2021 (or maybe later ?). HKG is now good for 3 weeks of quarantine; I do not see a real chance to fly over in May. The ticket is almost 15 moths old and maybe AY is not 'in the mood' to extend it another 5 months...?

Can't make any voluntary changes unless there's a cancellation is what the last few Finnair chat representatives have told me. Entire thing reprices, ticket is out of validity, etc

I received cancellation information today and tried to fix my ticket. My original booking was to CAN. i tried to change my destination from CAN to HKG, but they rejected my request. Despite COVID-19, EC261 is still valid and they should rebook me to CAN even another airline if AY can’t operetta to CAN? I would be fine, if I can change my destination to another destination in Asia, but they told me that only option is refund?

I called AY UK on either 13 or 14 Jan to change the flight departing 15th returning earlying Feb to coming xmas returning new year with no issues to HKG.

Your original destination HKG? I think, AY don’t accept destination changes.
