Oddly, Finnair authed my card for both pax' fares when I made the reservation, but this morning that payment appears to have resolved as just one passenger's fair, and another charge from Finnair Italy for the other passenger's fare has appeared.

maybe this will be like one of those quiet ones, so we should figure out who is the flying guinea pig #1 , and see how it goes. The earliest I though was available somewhere around mid Nov?

My card got charged the same day, i got the confimation number from expedia, i got the airline confirmation, i can go to the airline site and manage my booking, all clear as in any booking.

The only odd thing is that i can not request the E Ticket recipt.

You can request it on AY MMB only if you booked on finnair.com

I can tell the purchase price of the ticket has been deducted from my available balance on Amex, but it is not showing on my statement, even as a ‘pending’ purchase yet? Seems a bit weird.

Went the expedia.de route.

Guys. All tickets are ok, as far as we can tell. Nobody cares if your card has been charged or not. If they cancel the tickets, we will notice soon enough.

That mileage calculator is wrong. All Finnair biz buckets earn 2x EQM on AA now, so STR-HEL-CAN-HEL-STR at 11,588 BIS miles = 23,176 EQM

Finnair obviously only shows you Finnair points. If that’s the currency you want to collect, it’s fine, otherwise it’s useless.
WhereToCredit is usually very reliable. But it only shows redeemable miles.
If you don’t care about Oneworld status, it’s probably best to credit these flights to Alaska Mileage Plan.

Edit: I see you’re based in the UK. Just credit them to BA and you’ll be fine.

I'll book to Alaska Mileage Plan. I'm flying to the US on a deeply discounted BA F fare in January, so will get to MVP Gold with these flights.
