HKG airport delays/closure possible MR opportunity??
I was curious about travel to HKG. The US only has a warning at a level 2 out of 4. The protest have been ongoing and been disruptive to flight schedules, is there a likely possibility that a great fare/MR will become available? How does travel insurance deal with HKG travel that is booked knowing the possibility of delays/cancellation? |

Always amazed at the thoughts that run through peoples minds. :D |
I have a trip in late September - need to keep am eye on this...

I am moving this thread to Mileage Run discussion as it is not specific to Delta, and Delta no longer serves HKG.

its not like ppl take away the inventory from someone in need - if you want to support HK go there, fly CX, spend $ etc.. |

It's not exploiting the situation, I tend to travel to HK in the latter part of the year to visit friends and was just curious if tickets would be cheaper and how travel insurance would work in the situation. I am not an economist I see enough holes in travel insurance that what is happening on HK at HKIA will not be covered. I am not a lawyer. |

not a lawyer but there are usually clauses in most travel insurance terms regarding what happens in the case of civil unrest / riots / war. I'd read the terms of your credit card agreement to check
come to HK, spend money, see what's happening here first hand. |
