Do I even need to fly the AS leg? I know it was booked all together, but they're separate itineraries correct?

Still unable to change seats. Not going to invest any more time in this...all good seats previously available are all occupied now.

You can just use google flights multi city function to play around with many dates. You just have to select your flights and then it gives you an option to check the price on expedia. Just book it like any normal expedia booking through that link.

Especially when the operator of the 1x is the issuer of the overall ticket.

AF doesn't have accrual rates for WS J posted. I'm hoping it will get resolved before travel time. Otherwise I'll be crediting DL.

For OW, WS partners with QF but I am not sure how favourable the earnings are.

You can actually fly LON-LIS-SFO now on the cheap TP fares. No need to fly back from DUB.

or LON-LIS-NYC-YVR or many others, but unless you have a trick the DUB fare is actually cheaper by a couple hundred.

With UA going dynamic, this would be the perfect opportunity (for me) to burn some UA miles - there appears to be plenty of J saver awards on its partner, SK, via CPH (plus other Nordic gateway cities).

I did say to myself that I must try new airlines so thank you, zoqfotpik, for posting this! I managed to find a $757 fare out of PDX and it's confirmed. Odd thing that others have found is I can go to the WestJet site and see my seats but I can't seem to move myself. I thought it was a Chrome issue so used another browser but to no avail. Definitely NOT going to call!
