Last day of the sale, and dates with Canada-GRU specials are scarce now (SCL can still be found easily).

Here's one flight combination that allows you to stay in Mexico City during Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and New Year without stopover ($500+ each direction). Fares are still available as we speak for as low as $999 USD

Dec 24th: YYZ-MEX AM693 (or YUL-MEX AM681)
Dec 25th: MEX-GRU AM16
Dec 31st: GRU-MEX AM15
Jan 1st MEX-YUL AM 636

Just thought I would give anyone looking at this fare an idea what to expect on AM’s 787-9. Keep in mind this was from JFK-MEX but it will give you an idea of what your getting. I flew MEX-EZE right after this flight and to me the service was really good and even the food was better but to me the best thing about it all was the seat on this plane. Do yourself justice and route with the 787-9 and not the 787-8 as the 788 has their old seats.

As mentioned earlier, YYZ-GRU low fares are limited as far as dates. For example, if I'm planning YYZ-GRU Dec 24th - Dec 31st rt, it looks like the low fares are sold out. (at least $2000)

https://www.kayak.com/flights/YYZ-GR...aditin=baditin

However, when I separate YYZ-MEX-GRU into 2 different flights it goes down to as low as $980 USD (new lower price)

https://www.kayak.com/flights/YYZ-ME...t=bestflight_a

So if your desired dates seem sold out, try to play around with separate flights for each segment.

Matrix still lists plenty of dates available, and I've tried actually booking a few of these today, on 6 different OTA's (they don't show up on Aeromexico.com) and they all returned errors.
The farthest I got was on Flight Network, which is the one that came back at $980. They originally list at $1123, then fare correct it to $980. But its not bookable. They took credit card info, but emailed a "pending" message, then called a few hours later to say the fare was not valid and they couldn't book it. The rep said the correct price should be $1150, so I said book that, and they came back again and said no go, claiming it was an economy fare, and it was a technical error that showed it as business.
Perhaps with more persistence you can get one to work, but I don't have that much time...

Uh? Just got all the way to the payment page of AM's site. The price has gone up slightly, to 1,611 CAD. All seats in business classes.

Great if you can book it. Of the dates that did work on AM's site, it all looked fine up to the payment page, which is where you got to, but after entering cc info and clicking purchase, it came back with "that flight is not available", and you get booted back to the start screen.

Using AM's website as source of truth, using my sample dates above, Dec 24th - Jan 1st, the only one with $1162 USD from Eastern Canada when you get to payment is

AM637
AM14
AM15
AM636 (evening dept) or AM611 (morning dept)

Use the multi-city booking option and click any options left, everything else will jump up to $1500 USD or higher, which in case it's no longer worth getting for most. I'd use AM's website to validate the pricing and book on Expedia for 24 hour guarantee.

If I find anything worth picking up from YVR/YYC I'll update the post.

Any way to include a stopover in MEX if flying to PTY or UIO or elsewhere?

The special fares do not allow stopover in MEX (> 24:00). However, if you can still stay in MEX if there's a flight that leaves within 24 hours. A stopover (>= 24 hours) will add $500 USD to the fare in each direction.

Try to book Canada-MEX, MEX-UIO next day and see if there's anything within 24 hours. Canada-UIO is also part of the sales but all segments are in 737s so I didn't spend any time checking dates and flights available.

Video representation of AM long haul service ( this is AM 28 MEX-EZE ) would imagine it would be the same or very similar for those flying MEX-GRU in the future.

It seems all fares are gone now. Some insane stuff for $4K.

$4K? I saw only $9K, just kidding.

Officially the fares are still available. However, trying to get outbound YYZ-GRU before November is a challenge at this point, I'm only seeing YYZ-GRU outbound with the following dates before Nov

7/2, 8/27, 9/11
(also verified on Expedia until Trip Summary)

I don't have time to check the return dates but availability is much better, like 1 out of 3-4 days, especially Sat morning from GRU. Try to be flexible flying out of YUL to GRU instead if you want to go before Nov, you can still book cheap return to YYZ.

Av: Yyz-scl $1850 cad ($1384 usd)

Without starting a new thread, AV has special YYZ-SCL from $1385 USD, sales end June 6th, all segments need to be completed by Nov 30th. (fares verified on Expedia)

The catch, for some reason I can't price it out doing a simple round trip YYZ-SCL, but instead doing multi-city booking

YYZ-SAL, SAL-SCL (next day), SCL-SAL, SAL-YYZ (next day)

YYZ-BOG, BOG-SCL (next day), SCL-BOG, BOG-YYZ (next day)

https://www.kayak.com/flights/YYZ-BOG/2019-11-12-h/BOG-SCL/2019-11-13-h/SCL-BOG/2019-11-26-h/BOG-YYZ/2019-11-27-h/business?sort=bestflight_a&fs=stops=1;baditin=badi tin
