Anybody thoughts on how to make this a mileage run? Or is it only lowly miles rate? I can credit to AA or SQ. (A)
I need an excuse to use this great offer and unfortunately all family planning is to go the US end of year. So can't use it for that

if you cannot use the companion fare then this one seems to be great value as well:
KBP - PVG in First combo of Swiss and Lufthansa for 2800 USD - 1 person (no need to book for 2)
Flying in the other direction costs almost 12000 USD

I would need to position from PVG which is 1000 USD in economy (I don't have miles) so I will have to skip this one.

@OP. Thank you SOOOOO much for posting! Got a nice little HKG holiday for this summer. In the end, took the Hong Kong J over the PEK F, as the destination was more attractive than the travel class.
Some additional advice I picked while booking:

- These are going fast. I could literally watch days melt off the calendar in the last 48 hours. Took a little too long to decide and had to cut the hol by 1 day due to that.
- The LH fee only works for 2 ppl. However the Swiss offer works for any number including odd numbers! for the same price pp. The Swiss offer is also much easier to search for with the calendar.
