I'm trying to figure out if it's a mistake fare or just a promo.
I've never heard of this before.

I started a thread in the AC forum for those types of questions: PYUP fares ticketing in R

It's very clearly a PY fare with an upgrade though, so R doesn't seem like an obvious mistake.

How long until the OTAs cancel these tickets? AC's website won't sell these, which suggests to me that there's a glitch somewhere - mistake fare, essentially. I wonder whether AC is planning to try this concept but didn't mean to roll it out yet.

Thanks OP!

Booked BOS-YYZ-LHR // BRU-YUL-BOS on the big O. Confirmed and ticketed within 10 minutes. AC website shows business class, as does the seat selection tool. I give this a strong possibility of sticking, given these fares are "very good", but not "insane" (not an obvious mistake).

Traveler 1: Adult $1,127.00
Traveler 2: Adult $1,127.00
Traveler 3: Infant in lap $742.44
Total $2,996.44

That's speculation.

I've flown AC R class many times and always earned miles (from the pre-upgraded fare class).

This looks like an insta up from the E booking code to business. That likely means miles are based on the E code, which is premium economy. 100% on United. Not amazing, but well worth the price.

Ac: Sea->lhr $1383

I was searching for fares to Europe and came across this AC fare from SEA to LHR (and AMS and DUB) for $1383: https://www.google.com/flights#flt=S...3*2.USD.138253.

Not sure if it's legit but on Expedia, it says flights book into R class. I booked and was able to select biz seats on AC...

Awesome - just booked a ORD-YYZ-LHR // AMS-YYZ-ORD in September, didn't even think of looking at an open jaw. Came in at $1271.

Based on the comments above, I went back and chose LGA-FCO instead of London (Mrs CC wanted Italy anyway) - turns out the fare was cheaper than LHR.

Booked 2 at $1143.61 each in October

Happily cancelled the LHR ones once ticketed via Expedia....

AC shows Business class (upgraded) but system times out when you try to select seats (least of my concerns right now).

CC
