Ok, I also called Malaysia myself, they say that the ticket is suspended by finance department and I need to contact OTA. So the infinite loop as usual, i just wait for payment to be cancelled and if not I do a chargeback.

11.59 PST is still nearly 18 hours away ... so I will wait until then and see what the situation is. One would think they would start cancelling tomorrow assuming that is the plan.

Should we contact and ask MH whether they will honour the tickets? Like giving them pressure to make the decisions.
If they cancel our tickets after free cancel period, I believe the refund process can be time-consuming and frustrating.

Just DM MH via Twitter, the agent said they did not receive any updates or information from management, so they just don't know at the moment and suggest me to keep on eyes with their 'newsletter' for more information.
Any ideas?

Anyone else received a confirmation from Emirates? I just received ticket & receipt from Emirates by e-mail. I fly in February. Booked on Orbitz.

i got the same..I think but emirates has no problem with canceling the tickets anyway.

I would have thought that EK can't cancel the booking as it is an MH booking and ticket.

I haven't received anything from EK by email, though I can still see the booking on their website and app.

I joined skywards. Plugged my skywards membership number into the booking on the Malaysia Airlines site. Went back to Emirates. I could locate my booking then and obtained the PNR. Selected seats and updated my personal info. Received an email from Emirates a few minutes later with the ticket and receipt etc.
