Not enough posts yet, if someone wants to add this to the WIKI:

March 07 BCN - FCO - LAX (all with AZ)
March 14 LAX - CGD (AF) - FCO - BCN

(so far.. the newbie is the first)

ps: a friend of mine works in the company that deals with the software of AZ told me that my ticket LAX - CGD was downgraded or is maybe a mapping problem, cause there's no such thing as business class E in AF.

WLG BRD OFF DEPT ARRV FRQUNCY G F EQP 01 LAX CDG 1630 1115 TF 1 388 COMPART 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 CLASS P F J C D I Z O W S A Y BW"

Still, in my e-ticket .. it says business in all flights. Any toughts ?

E class refers to AZ Business Class. Airlines have their own classes letters and it can be different from AF to AZ. Same with DL, where E class is for Basic Economy. So noting to worry about.

Exactly. Your flight, while operated by AF, was sold under AZ code, so it should map to D on AF (not that it really matters), but in any case, the class code you see relates to the marketing carrier (AZ).

On the Delta App, my booking is showing Delta One (E). Obviously E refers to AZ marketing booking class for Business Class. There is no error here, and I can select a seat in the Delta One cabin. It should be the same for you.

As the first person flies in May (as it seems), I don't see why AZ would hurry with cancelling.
While that's true, I went looking for this thread referring to an AZ J fare to TYO in 2017, and it only took them 2-4 days to void/downgrade tickets. But the situation was different as they weren't selling the tickets on their own website.

Why? That just means you are ticketed in business class, all is well!

Just use the Alitalia booking reference, the Delta app will recognize it and also give your the DL confirmation number.

If I ticketed through AZ, and am crediting this to DL, I shouldn’t expect any DL miles for the segment that is an AZ codeshare operated by AF, right?

Seems it's crowded on the 6th of May

Would be funny to actually meet some of the people on this forum...
