For each request, please include the following information:

Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Maximum Budget (choose one, and state the value):
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay:

Route(s) You've Already Searched:
Do you have a Chinese Visa (Yes/No)?
For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A NEW THREAD.
There are many good fares to China (PEK or PVG). If you have a Chinese visa, these options will be provided. Otherwise, you may have to take advantage of TWOV (visa on arrival). Its information can be found: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/china/708095-china-24-72-144-hour-transit-without-visa-twov-rules-master-thread.html

If your requested PQM is in a few thousand, please give a more accurate amount. You will get fewer options with a roundup number (eg, 5000 instead of 4830; IAD-SFO nonstop will work for the latter.)

Wondering if it's worth the stretch for Plat, as I'll be fairly close to qualifying on the CC waiver by end of year.
I haven't been able to find a deal superior from IAH-PVG ($0.24 CPM) at that fits inside a weekend.

Departure Airport: IAH
Miles Needed: 24,000
Required Spend or Maximum Budget (choose one, and state the value): Max Budget, $1,500, but would prefer maximizing CPM.
Available Travel Dates: Weekends only (Thurs-Mon AM)
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay: Any *Alliance works

Route(s) You've Already Searched: IAH-ORD-PVG-SFO-IAH, IAH-HKG-IAH, IAH-HNL-GUM-HKG-EWR-IAH.
Do you have a Chinese Visa (Yes/No)? Yes

$275 plus positioning flight from YYZ-IAH.

It is an easy decision for such a cheap flight.

It looks like a similar flight is available departing from EWR instead, and flights from YYZ-EWR seem to be much cheaper than flights from YYZ-IAH. Either way, it looks like it would require an overnight near IAH or EWR before the departing flight, as I don't think there's a way to get to either city early enough that same morning.

Newbie here and I am not allowed to post quotes. So, I copied and pasted.
mpiotwo - If I want to stop in EWR. on the return, the price bumps up. Any penalties for not taking the EWR - Ottawa leg?

You don't see a blue "Quote" button that looks like the following under each of the posts here?

Are you based in EWR? One option would be to use miles to book an award flight back from YOW-EWR...

Yes, I am based out of EWR. Now, I see the route changed to PVG - ORD (I think the last tkt from EWR-OTTAWA is gone)

First one done last week. Wasn't too bad. All seats except one were good. Food on ANA was a bit dicey so loaded up at UA NRT Club. Stayed on EST and avoided jet lag.

2nd trip tomorrow. Possible tornadoes near RSW at the start so should be interesting. Seat selections better.

And 2nd one done.
Again not painful and with UAFlex Miles I now have 75,000 2019 PQM continuing my Plat through 2020.
Thanks again Santander.

Highlights:
12 flights. Only one more than 20 minutes late. Most left early.
Only last one upgraded.
Discovered Downton Abbey. Binged seasons 1&2 on UnitedWiFi.
Day tour of Jakarta. Crowded city with great eats.

UPDATE: Target mileage is now pretty much exactly 15k PQM (i.e. 7500 miles in first class but also open to 15k air miles in economy if international). Thanks in advance for any help, and please let me know if I am posting something incorrectly.

Your request would look something like this:

Departure Airport: IAH
Miles Needed: 10,000
Maximum Budget: $1000
Available Travel Dates: {Are there any specific dates, or days of the week you need to travel?}
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay: This depends on whether you *need* UA metal, or if you can fly on any *A carrier
Route(s) You've Already Searched: {Have you searched for any routes yourself? If so, what have you found?}
Do you have a Chinese Visa (Yes/No)? Yes

Good luck with your search. I don't have time to check anything out right now.
