For each request, please include the following information:

Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Maximum Budget (choose one, and state the value):
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay:

Route(s) You've Already Searched:
Do you have a Chinese Visa (Yes/No)?
For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A NEW THREAD.
There are many good fares to China (PEK or PVG). If you have a Chinese visa, these options will be provided. Otherwise, you may have to take advantage of TWOV (visa on arrival). Its information can be found: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/china/708095-china-24-72-144-hour-transit-without-visa-twov-rules-master-thread.html

If your requested PQM is in a few thousand, please give a more accurate amount. You will get fewer options with a roundup number (eg, 5000 instead of 4830; IAD-SFO nonstop will work for the latter.)

12000 pqm/6 pqs

Yes, I know it is silly for many of you. I want to maintain my UA*S status into 2020 primarily for free E+ seating. I'll end with too few segments this year as two of my trips were canceled.

Departure Airport(s): WAS, but willing to try PHL or NYC
Miles Needed: 12,000 miles or 6 segments (PQDs are OK)
Required Spend or Maximum Budget (choose one, and state the value): $300-$400
Available Travel Dates: 2nd 1/2 October through early December
Class of service: Any
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay: Codeshares OK if earning required PQM/PQS - I am UA*S
Do you have a Chinese Visa (Yes/No)? No

Preference for same day return, next day return, but no more than 72 hours duration - in that order of preference. Start any day of the week. I'd prefer not to leave North America if 6 segments are available. (48 countries, but this fall is a tough time for me to be away from too many time zones.)

Thanks!

You can do RIC-BOS twice, one in Basic Economy and the other in regular economy to get the six PQSs. The BE fare is $134 and regular E is $204.
Good luck.

Thanks much. A clarification, BE only earns 0.5 PQS or did I misunderstand?

Trying to get 1K this year. Have PQDs already, just need PQMs. Thanks for the help!

Departure Airport: IND (or possibly nearby-ish airport such as ORD)
Miles Needed: 10,400
Required Spend or Maximum Budget (choose one, and state the value): Budget ~$400, could go a bit higher for the right route (Europe, perhaps?) or a shorter route. No required spend
Available Travel Dates: September through mid-December, fairly flexible
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay: Codeshares should be fine, just need PQMs
Route(s) You've Already Searched: Not really sure where to start
Do you have a Chinese Visa (Yes/No)? Yes, but that would not be my first choice

Yes. The BE run will give you 0.5x4=2 PQSs. The regular economy will give you 4 PQSs.

UA:$486 DCA-DTW in First 6PQS

An alternative idea is to fly 4 segments in First, for 6PQS. Something like this:

UA:$486 DCA-DTW in First 6PQS
Tue 17 Dec (and lots of dates available after this)
UA1268 0600-0703 DCA-ORD B738
UA3447 0830-1059 ORD-DTW E175
UA3707 1136-1200 DTW-ORD E175
UA3591 1250-1600 ORD-DCA E175

Link: https://flights.app.goo.gl/BNgDJ

$150 more than KMXU's suggestion (and a bit above your price range), but definitely more convenient.

UPDATE: DCA-CVG also works at the same price on multiple dates

I'm an idiot. Long day yesterday and I just couldn't figure that math out last night.

This is the best I've been able to find so far:

UA:$602 MSP-OGG (Maui HI) 7966PQM
Wed 18 Sep
UA697 MSP-DEN 0720-0826 B738
UA1736 DEN-OGG 0945-1258 B772
UA1430 OGG-DEN 2010-0622(+1day) B772
Thu 19 Sep
UA1437 DEN-MSP 0750-1044 A320

Link: https://flights.app.goo.gl/G2RMo

Available on multiple dates starting Sep 18. If you actually need >8000PQM, there's also other dates that have OGG-SFO-IAH-MSP, or OGG-HNL (though HA=0PQM), the extra distance will give you a few more miles.

I've looked at other options for splitting into two trips, but if they're $300 each, that doesn't save you anything. Ugh. Maybe someone else will have a better idea.
