I am not quite sure why fares are so low to Europe close to a year from now, but I just purchased SFO-CPH round-trip for $399. K, LGT; I have the Explorer card.

SFO-ZRH United
ZRH-CPH Swiss
CPH-YYZ Air Canada
YYZ-SFO Air Canada

Apparently I’ll pick up overseas meals and some points. Reserved seats on the United flight.

I generally find good dates 330 days out and then they start to get expensive, but not always.

Great deal for CPH.

Wish I could find something for CDG in May but it has been expensive since 330 days out.

In May I got LAX-LHR-LAX for Christmas and New Year for just a tad over $500 ( including taxes).

Appears to work from other airports as well:

LAX - CPH 417$
NYC - CPH 330$ (TAP even lower)

I'm looking to do this exact routing (SFO-CPH) but haven't seen any low fares for the dates I'm looking: June 7 - June 24.
Still debating on doing the nonstop via SAS, but wanted to get the PQM/PQD on United.

Non-stop on SAS may mean lousy earning of redeemable miles/points from the SAS flights. SAS is gutting economy class earnings in their own program and it probably won’t be too long until that hits other programs too when it comes to crediting SK flights.

UA Light fares on this route are only available until 6/5/19 and from 9/7/19.

Just checked and discount economy (T fare) on SAS only earns 50% redeemable miles on UA Mileage Plus; also only 50% PQM.
