What's a good sale fares for HKG - SYD R/T J Class?

What's a good sale fares for HKG - SYD R/T J Class?
Looking at QF/CX One World sometime early/mid next year. I have been watching fares for about a month now, and R/T fares have been between HKD 20000 - HKD 24000. Are there traditional sale fares for this route from time to time during the year? (cyber monday / new years sale ..etc). How low has anyone seen on QF/CX J for this?

Not on the same route, but if I can remember correctly the cheapest was on MH from HKT to SYD/MEL and it was around US$600-700.
I seldom find cheap fares on CX or QF even when it's on sale. I would suggest MH, which is also a Oneworld member. They often have deals to Australia from SE Asia for around US$1k. You may also find it cheaper to fly out of another airport.
