Hmmm... considering previous QR flash sales eg. AMS-TYO then I'd think you could make a case it's not a clear & manifest error. Booked into R as well which is Qatar's cheap J bucket.

New route and new partnership on codeshares via BA Holidays make ample case for a similar fare to BRU-TYO promotion.

No chance - booking QR direct have a history of selling their fares at 500, 600, 700, 800 etc.
Where is the case when BA have sold QR at similar prices, or even their own and had it honoured from GB-Asia in J. Your comparison is nonsense really..

Doesn't make any sense. I don't see why this is even similar....

I got through to the payment stage and got the error message about the ticket sold out. Ah well. You win some and you lose some.

I think that standing things like this and the limited "advertising" of the fare, considering the price is low but not outrageous, there are good chances to see that honoured.

Not unless they extend it again (as they did several times in the past).

I managed to book. Was going to make another booking for some friends to join but didn't make it.

As always, I'm relaxed about these things being honoured. BA are normally only worried about selling cheap tickets in their F cabin though.

I’ve managed to book a couple of these tickets.

Can anyone with more aviation knowlege explain how buying tickets through another airline like this fare works? Mainly as I’m just intrigued.

I’m paying BA my £795. If this is a mistake fare, are they then expected to pay QR the right fare? If that’s the case they’ll just cancel right?

Or do QR take the £795 and decide themselves whether to not honour it?

hei there.
This is a BA Ticket issued on Ba stock for flying on BA marketed flights.
QR is the operating carrier but to be extremely clear BA sold you a ticket to fly BA flights (even though not operated by them).
So basically you are paying BA to fly BA flights. If this is a mistake, then BA will have to handle it.
As far as I can see QR is not immediately involved in terms of honouring it or not.
cheers
