I used the chat option on HX website. There seems to be no way to verify that the number has been added though.

Just finished my SFO-HKG-DPS-HKG-SFO trip (outbound on 3 SEP and return on 10SEP) and have a couple of points worth mentioning for people yet to travel
  • Bag weight is based on total weight not weight per bag
  • IFE system is great but the movie selection is limited (half US and half China based movies)
  • FAs in J are attentive if you get their attention. As someone who has flown Delta, United and US Airways (pre-merger) business the FAs on HX were as good but didnt refill drinks unless you asked for it.
  • The lounge in SFO (KLM/AF lounge) is crowded and not great
  • The showers in the HKG lounge (upstairs from gates 201-230) are awesome
  • Alcohol selection inflight is limited (Johnny Walker, McCallan 12y scotch, Vodka and Rum)
  • Gluten Free meal departing US was plain (main dish was Chicken, Broccoli and Rice with no sauce)
  • Seats (not the updated seats but flying with the Mrs so the "honeymoon" setup was good for us) and Amenity kits were on par with US carries
  • HX does duty free on board (different than most US carriers)
  • On-time flights between SFO-HKG dont exist. We were 4 hours late out of SFO and 45m late back into SFO)

I did not since on the flight over the WIFI system was broken and on the flight back I ended up sleeping the majority of the flight (since we left DPS at 0130)

I would not purchase it. It was slow and spotty at best. $22.99 for 100MB and other options

Got an aircraft change alert from ExpertFlyer. Seat map for my March 23 LAX-HKG shows 35A instead of 359 for equipment, but the actual seat map has not been updated yet.

That sounds good. How soon is your flight?

"Hong Kong Airlines’ A350s come equipped with Wi-Fi. On my flight, Wi-Fi prices ranged from 15 MB for $4.99 to 100 MB for $22.99. Unfortunately I found the speed to be dismal overall."

Is there a specific detail you are looking for regarding the wi-fi?

What time was your flight scheduled at? I know currently HK is running "scheduled" departures around 12:40PM so that may conflict with the early afternoon departures by AF/KL/KE, but our flight in February is around 10AM so I am wondering if it'll be lighter then.

And yes agree with your comments about delays, they are running super late almost daily our of SFO

Looks like the aircraft registration number with the new seats is B-LGE. It went into service on September 6th running between HKG and BKK. It went to SFO on September 9th and back. Then back to HKG - BKK runs as HX 765/766 or HX 771/772. Has anyone been on these flights that can confirm "new" seats?

wondering if I should just plan on not making my connection if they are always that far behind. My first trip is LAX-HKG-SGN. My original plan was one day in SGN (already been there) and then going to Danang. I had already thought about not catching my connecting flight to SGN and just dropping it...but figured I'd fly anyway...but now with the constant delays, if I should just go back to doing that. Thoughts? Any issues with dropping the last segment on the outbound? I'd return from SGN as normal (or will me not taking the last segment cancel out the whole itin?).

Yes, I was on this flight back from HKG to SFO. The seats and IFE are different than the other A359s.

Nice. How did you find them compared to the other A350 seats?
