Sorry false alarm. I cancalled one of my bookings yesterday and the email was a confirmation of that. My other booking is still ok

Mine seems to be OK so far for my LAX - BKK trip Feb 26-Mar 9. Got an email from Expedia yesterday about 1 hr after booking with e-tix number.
Checked Hongkong Airlines website with my e-tix # and it shows that all flights are confirmed.
Called Expedia to check status- and so far it's still a go.
Not to say that the airline won't cancel later- but I am hoping for the best

Long wait for live chat on Hong Kong airlines but you can select your seats. I just did and all seats selected are business class seats. So we are good to go.

Out of curiosity, did you get the e-ticket with actual ticket numbers assigned; ie is that what was cancelled on you?

So anyone have seat advice? I'm traveling with my wife, so I think we'd like the two in the middle that are the inner seats. But we're happy in separate windows, if those are significantly better.

HKG PVG one of the sector is 332 and 33V

the live chat is patient enough to answer my seat selection question so give it a try

I believe the inner odd number rows are perfect for couples as they are honeymoon seats with storage on the aisle side giving both of you more privacy from the aisle. note the second row in this picture.

Mine booked on Expedia SFO-BKK was cancelled overnight. Got a couple of emails to call them... no interest in calling. Good luck to everyone else

I sat in the online chat waiting queue for hours (150th in line) trying to get my Expedia booked seat selected. As soon as I was put at the head of the queue, I was told I'd need to wait 48 from departure to select seat. I asked a follow up and they told me to get back in the queue lol.

Remember to select the low-sodium meal to protect your booking from cancellation!

Yup-- had ticket numbers and was able to see it on Hong Kong Airlines website. Email from Expedia claimed differently though. We are contacting you in regards to your recent purchase made on Expedia.com.
