For me, it doesn't load at all in Firefox, but works fine in Chrome and Edge.

It seems to be dependent on whether or not a ticket was issued. Did you confirmation from Expedia at time of booking include a 851 ticket number?

Anybody seeing anything unusual with their credit cards? I booked three, one on HX's website, one on expedia and one on priceline...I'm showing two pending charges from HX's website (for different amounts). I'm trying to chat with them but it is taking forever...I only have one email from them, which is the one of the pending charges on my account, so I'm good with it, but the second one, I want to make sure there isn't a booking out there I'm not aware of given how glitchy their website was. What is weird is one charge shows up at HK AIR (the one I know about) and the other shows up as Hong Kong Airlines Limited.

Do you guys plan to credit it to HK Airlines or to Hainan? It looks like Hainan has more partner options.
Although on second look, it looks like it's the same program.

There's first information here that Hong Kong Airlines will honour tickets. Impressive if true and reason to fly them even tickets are not so deeply discounted.

My payment process timed out after about 5 minutes but I did receive a booking confirmation and an E-Ticket with 851- ticket numbers. The confirmation contained links to download E-Ticket receipt and Itinerary. Online the booking shows as confirmed. My Amex is not yet showing either a charge or a pending transaction even though the Email shows payment confirmation. I do admit to being slightly worried that the process might have failed. It would be a shame for this to be honoured yet the payment process to have failed.

Just used Live Chat to select seats, before I could even mention the seats I wanted, they confirmed the seats I picked through Expedia did in fact stick ^

I contacted HK Air PR who confirmed that the tickets will be honoured. "it's the right thing to do," she said.

Bloody ridiculous.

I got charged by priceline.com for a transaction that didn't go thru!

Please be aware guys...

Two bits to add -

--Cancellations are now working online for Expedia, no need to call (at least for this data point).

Cheers!

Called for seat assignments and got the honeymoon seats in 3 or 5 on all 4 segments. No mention of anything other than the seats.

Had about a 25 minute wait time on hold and the agent had good enough to get us seats but not great English.

This is why we (almost) can't have nice things.

Calling in less than 24 hours is bad enough but contacting the airlines PR department less than 24 hours from the deal -- epic fail.

This year I have seen 2 crazy J fares.

In June AM MIA-GRU around $450

Now HX LAX/SFO-PVG/BKK/DPS $600ish

Airlines known to honor the deals - AM, AV, NH, TK, WY

Airlines notorious for cancelling/not honoring - AF, AZ, ET

The list above doesn't include official flash sales, routine low J fares (such as SV).

AF honoured my F ETKT SFO-LHR back in DEC17 so they do honour sometimes..!
