It appears to be available on priceline.com. I also found it on airfrance.us, IST-AEP late February to March for a little over $2100.

Too bad it does not work for Asian destinations. Would have been interested by HKG for instance... But great find OP

LH/LX F promo from ATH to some Asian destinations(24xx EUR) ended on April 29th and companion promo from DME/KBP ended earlier, so AF decided to launch their from IST to some North and South American destinations.
A positive trend.

The only problem is that that's not a positive trend and not a promo at all If you look for these routings directly on Air France site, you will find out there are only premium economy fares to these destinations, first class not even available. And these fares will be exactly what you pay for these first class tickets. 101% PE to F mapping bug, and 99% won't be honored.

fare rules on viewed on EF states otherwise

Just booked through Chase Portal paying cash+points one way IST-GRU. Booking when through and was able to select my 1st Class seat. If honored, what a deal!
