Any issues if I get off at SFO and don't continue to ORD? I'm going to credit to Alaska (currently MVP and can make MVP Gold with this and other trips). Any chance I don't get full mileage credit? I'd check in for SFO-ORD and just play dumb. "Yeah I was on the flight!"
You’ll still get your miles for what you’ve flown up to SFO. You have to pick up your luggage as well at customs anyways in SFO so you’ll be able to check in your bags too. Just don’t say anything to the airline you’re not going to fly the last segment.

I just got back from the Maldives a couple of weeks ago. If I didn't follow all the travel bloggers I would have never known there was an issue. Maldives Marines were walking around the airport but not with weapons so it was out of the ordinary for me to see it. As said before, just don't go hang out in the capital.

Oh! Thanks for that. Yes, the true concern here is no drinking!

Also thanks to the OP. I purchased this for a June trip to the Maldives with a multi day stopover in Hong Kong. It will be great to check Maldives off the bucket list.
Went to Male last year on the R fare deal and upgrades ord X hkg. Call Asiamiles and make request. When they clear, I found there was plenty of time to transfer points in to secure the seat.

I booked this I special in June to cmb. Already going back to mle in May on QR 2 for 1 special...

Yes, but carriers can change the date whenever they see fit.

Weird. The site works for me. It is a Mastercard offer for up to 25% off. But you have to call in to book. Copied off the web page...:

World Mastercard®

World Elite Mastercard®

MDH

Up to a 25% saving on qualifying fares

Book now through December 31, 2018. Call +18773548330 to speak with a travel expert and make a reservation.
  • Up to a 25% saving on qualifying fares

Terms and Conditions

Savings are valid on adult base fares only and apply to Cathay Pacific published one-way or round-trip fares. All fare rules and conditions of the applicable published adult fares will apply to discounted fares. Valid for point of sale and point of origin from USA only. Cathay Pacific must be the Trans-Pacific carrier from USA gateways of Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York (JFK) and Newark. Domestic partner carriers are permitted for travel from other USA cities to Cathay Pacific USA gateways so long as a valid published Cathay Pacific through-fare is used from origin to destination. Fares may not be broken at any point to create a lesser through-fare and still be eligible for these savings. Valid on Cathay Pacific operated/marketed flights along with select Cathay Pacific/Dragon Air interline flights only. The term Asia will include all of North and South Asia, China, India, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle-East online CX/KA (Cathay Pacific/Dragonair) only. Tickets must be purchased and outbound travel must commence on or before December 31, 2018, and all travel must be completed by December 31, 2019. Savings are based on available booking class inventory at time of reservation.

Well darn, I booked with my MC, wonder if its too late?

Edit to Add: I just called them and they said I was not eligible both since I had already booked and paid and that MLE was not included as a valid destination.

Not to sidetrack the fare, but the CX arrival is 8 PM. I'm considering it for a short (3 night stay). For those in the know I assume you've got to book a resort with speedboat transfer or either burn a night at the airport hotel?

ORD-BOM is also in this price range. Has anyone tried to price out using the Mastercard deal above?
