I can confirm that B788 is gone from the JFK flights.
AV20/21 is now operated by AV's ex-TransAsia A333, with angle flat seats
AV244/245 is operated by Wamos
Avianca is a terrible airline, my recent trips with AV came with frequent long delays, mostly due to technical issues, I would be cautious of flying AV as I wonder if it's even safe to fly...

Are any of these available from the West coast? They only really fly from LAX as I recall, but these fares are always EX-JFK, such a bummer. UIO always seems pricey to get to from YVR (or anywhere nearby) except AM once in a while.

Just an FYI. I took the $699 Avainca deal to LIM and indeed the plane was switched to Wamos. However my booking was "Avianca", not "Avianca operated by Wamos".
I didn't receive credit, but I appealed the missing credit to United and United credited me for the flight. If you ended up in this situation, be sure to appeal to missing mileage credit. (This is probably only going to work if your ticket never mentioned Wamos at purchase.)
Overall the Wamos flight was fine, about the same quality as a mainland China carrier, but more friendly. Cheers!

I haven't seen any for West Coast. They do however, also fly from SFO 2x a day to SAL.

For those who bank miles toward other *A carriers and got Wamosed, did anyone get miles from their respective carriers?
3 months after my flight (BOG-JFK), got 3752 miles posted to my TK account by surprise.

It all goes back to the tale: "you get what you pay for."
Avianca doesn't want to outsource their flights. They have to because of defective engines on the 787. That's likely more of a safety issue than Wamos' older aircraft.
