I especially like this part (bolding mine):

Purchase on Avianca.com and remember that…

Cali-Madrid and Medellin-Madrid flights operate by Orbest Orizona or Evelop Airlines and Bogota-New York flight operate by Wamos Air have a preferential fare.

When I purchased the flight last year, there was no WAMOS, so doubt I received a preferential fare ??

Does this mean all of us impacted by this will be getting a refund ??

You can probably get a refund simply because the operating carrier has changed.
When I called to change my flight from non-AV to AV operated, there was zero pushback and it sounded like they'd be ready to refund if I asked (but YMMV of course).

It looks like that will not be necessary

Not sure of the exact date, but WAMOS drops off the schedule at the end of the summer on this route !

It is still around for some dates in August, but do not see it again on the dates I checked in Sept/Oct/Nov (including my flights).

Someone more in the know with AV can probably confirm details.

Now, they just swapped the flights (Avianca doing the AV20/21 as of today) and the first day did not go well. Hope they don't swap back because of that :/

That may well be true, but I plan to use the miles for my requalification and apparently when you end up on a WAMOS-operated aircraft, you will get no miles. Maybe people earning miles with Avianca might get some, but other *A-programs won't.
I will have to find out whether I will be "vamosed" or not otherwise I might just ask for a refund. My flights will be at the end of July (outbound) and early/mid August (inbound).

There's also wide open GRU-BOG-JFK-BOG-GRU for USD 1344 in (at least) November and December for 21+ days (probably for less days too).
