Example: April 11-18th. There are various dates March-May and Sep-Oct.

credit to an old post from yvrdeals for the find.

I booked this on Vayama for the dates above and just received this email:

Dear Vayama Customer,

We recently received your online booking request. Quality control has determined that your booking could not be processed at the fare that was originally quoted. Unfortunately, the airline was unable to accept the fare that was quoted earlier and as a result, your reservation has been canceled. Per our terms and conditions, airfares and reservations are not guaranteed until tickets are issued.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Been inactive for a while but after catching up the last 50 pages (and a lot of nonsense ) I'm fine now.
Tried to book the nice TP fare to C1, came too late and it seems TP has successfully fixed it. Any combination I try dumps the YQ but raises up the booking class - can someone confirm this?

Cheers

Oh that sucks... I hope you did not incur any non-refundable related expenses like hotels, etc... or intra-china flights...

What was the timel ag between booking and receiving the email?

almost 48 hours and didn't book anything until ticketed. I can see other dates on another online booking site and will give it a try.

I wouldn't have mentioned it if it had been with 1x.
There is one more interesting fare on an even better airline, 256€, no tricks needed.

I think that tomorrow will be a good day

Fair enough! 1x makes it bit more difficult...

I think I know the second one - although not sure if better airline

Still at work, should be going home soon - to employ ITA over dinner

Thanks for bringing this up.

Just curious if you managed to get this ticketed.....I tried but vayama sent me a "sorry, airline wouldn't accept fare quoted". What are my chances of getting booked with different dates and different travel site?

If no tricks needed, why don't you post it at MR Deals, or is it posted there already?

One more TaKedown. This was far the trickiest of the tricky...

Hence the birth of a new method that shall be known as "Double Confusion" (which has nothing to do with strikes, stacks or virgins).
