I was hoping to leave work next Friday afternoon and catch the late non-stop to see Big Ben. I don't expect to see any Jeepneys on my way to the airport in case you're wondering from where I'm starting.

From there, a short hop over the water to check out the Rijksmuseum. The next day, Sunday, I was planning to pass thru the windy city on my way up north, eh?

Prices at a little over $500 on ita, can't get it ticketed for under $750.

I tried dot bomb, however, it seems it doesnt like to spit out the correct coded flight to get to the Rijksmuseum.

I think that part is key to get the ITA price.

FWIW, UA loaded a sale fare yesterday to LHR (among others).
Example: 3/7 LAX-LHR; 3/9 LHR-LAX prices out to $581.70 a/i.

Negotiating this exact same itinerary with an add-on segment (it's colder up there), you can bring it down to $490.52 a/i.

The fuel dump trick is pretty awesome. Especially with base fares to LHR ex-ORD at $119. The AI price I'm seeing (after the dump) for MTW travel pre-March 22 is $323. Now if UA will just publish some lower fares to other European destinations, then we can avoid the United Kingdom Air Passengers Duty which is Ł40.00 and start to see some sub-300 fares. At that point, I won't be able to afford to not take the trip, but currently I'm on the edge.

Fuel dump can be applied to Asia too. I got $832 all-in from MCI to SIN (6 day stay of course) on Expedia. I think I saw $740 all-in from DEN.

Ua:sfo-ord-lhr-lax-hnl-lhr-sfo-yvr $1091 ai 'w' fare

So I was lurking around the UA website and found this gem. To some it may not be a true MR but for a little over 1k spend to pick up 27k EQM (4 CPM) and over 50K RDM (2 CPM) if 1p or better and fly in C or F (on Dom legs) I think it may qualify. This is a W fare ticket so you will need to use SWU to upgrade on the INTL segments, but if you can get them to clear will .bomb let you use less than 4 I wonder? ^

Here’s the routing I came up with I’m sure others if interested will be able to improve.

SFO-ORD-LHR-LAX-HNL-LHR-SFO-YVR (insert your city here)

My dummy booking started on May 20 and ended on the 23 although I did find some dates in Feb as well and didn’t look further then this potential trip. There was only one overnight in HNL otherwise you spent a lot of time on the airplane. I did find less expensive options where 2 of the 4 tatls’s book in S and the rest of the trip in W, same routing as above for $949, so for me $150 seems like a bargain. Also right now you can book a RT W fare SFO-LHR-??? w/creativity (see other threads for suggestions) in the $600 range for one more day and $400 more to go the whole way in style seems good to me.

That's technically HNL-LAX-LHR, right? UA 934?

Sent a PM... I need more information...

Wow, it will now be possible for me to get Elite status on both AC and UA, Domestic RCC access here I come!

Pray, do they give people glorious keys to the washroom?
Are the RCC's as bad as people state?
Will I be loved by the "Matron's"?

Inquiring minds want to know!
