ORD-PVG-ORD direct turn, leaving ORD at 9:50 am (Dec. 3) and returning at 4:10 pm (Dec. 4). There is 2:45 for transfer. If you do not have a China visa, it costs $140 for ten years ($14 a year) at Chinese Consulate in Chicago. You can get it before your trip if you go to consulate tomorrow, I guess. Good luck.

Mileage Run on United/Star Alliance from FLL, PBI, MIA

Folks,

I have 42,606 miles, and $6500 PQD, in order to qualify for Gold, I need to hit 50,000 miles.

Any suggestions for mileage run between from South Flordia are appreciated.

So goal of 7394PQM...unfortunately, something easy like PBI-EWR-SFO falls short at 7178PQM.

Here's one to start:

UA:$398 PBI-EWR-SFO-MFR 8178PQM
Tue 6 Dec
UA1298 PBI-EWR 0845-1134 A320
UA1455 EWR-SFO 1455-1610 B752(PS)

UA375 EWR-PBI 0829-1131 B739

Will update if I find better options.

Hey everyone,

Trying to plan my first MR ever, but need some ideas.

Departure Airport: LIM
Miles Needed: 1991
Required Spend or Budget: Around $200 (needs to be bought through United.com)
Available Travel Dates: Dec 10 - Dec 24th
Required Metal or Codeshares okay: Codeshares ok as long as they're *A

Was checking BOG with Avianca but that was $500, and I only have a $200 ETC to spend. What do you think? Is this doable?

Sorry for the cross post. just saw this thread:

Departure: ORD
Miles needed: Only 1409
PQD needed: $947 So looking around a 1K ticked (to make 1k )
Dates: Before December 24th.. Excluding 11-16 dec..

I am finding it a challenge to get the right combination of flights without having a stupid early morning or late night..

May end up booking a more flexible first ticket but curious to what people think

There's a bunch of options possible, but I'm guessing you want the most comfortable? On Sat 3 Dec, UA1875 ORD-IAH is B763 lay-flat. Unfortunately ORD-IAH-ORD in First comes up shy at 880PQD, but you may be able to call reservations and have them book you in a higher fare in one direction to get over the 947PQD hump.

Will update if I find something better.

Good luck!

Trying to make UA Silver for 2017. Miles and $$ made, I just need 2 more segments.

Departure Airport: MCO or TPA
Miles Needed: Any 2 segments (already met miles on Lufthansa)
Required Spend or Budget: Less than $123 RT (found MCO-FLL already, just trying to find something cheaper)
Available Travel Dates: 12/10-12/20
Required Metal or Codeshares okay: United or United Express only

Thanks in advance!!!

CAUTION: I think your proposed MCO-FLL contains flights by Silver Airways, which does NOT count toward Premier status (only award miles).

You may want to look at $121 TPA/MCO-IAD 2PQS on UA metal, here's some possible flights:

Good luck!

Hi all

I have 2xGPU's expiring in January 2017. Although its very early days, looking at my 2017 travel year, its likely I'll need a mileage run to retain 1K for 2018. So I'm thinking I'll do the mileage run in January and hopefully burn through the 2x GPU's at the same time.

Here's what I'm looking for:
Departure airport: Based in YYC. Open to travelling anywhere.
Miles needed: Any amount
Required spend or budget: Aiming for under C$7c/mile (US$5.2c)
Available travel dates: Weekends of Jan 13-15 or 20-22 (inclusive of the Friday or could also leave the Thursday evening)
Required metal or codeshares ok: At least one businessfirst sector has to be a guaranteed upgrade. I'm ok playing the lottery if the chances are decent (eg. P9, PN9 etc...). Also ok with codeshares on shorter legs

So far, I've been focusing my search around South East Asia but I'm not quite finding anything meeting the criteria. Any help would be appreciated.

Both SIN and HKG have very good W fares, within your cpm requirements. However, you will not get GPU confirmed at booking for the travel dates that you specified. If you want to have GPU confirmed, your travel dates have to be flexible, for example, on Tues-Thur.. Sorry that I cannot help you more. Good luck.

I was able to get this to price out on United.com:

UA:$986(US) YYC-HKG W-fare
Fri 20 Jan
AC8579/UA8264 YYC-SFO 0810-0957 CR7
UA869 SFO-HKG 1330-2005(+1day) B744 R9 G9
Sun 22 Jan
NH822/UA7908 HKG-HND 0040-0530 B763
(11h daytime layover at HND)
UA876 HND-SFO 1625-0845 B772 R2 G9
UA5469 SFO-YYC 1425-1825 E175 R6 G9

Immediate availability of GPU upgrades in all UA metal segments.

UA reports 14110PQM 764PQD, but that assumes NH822 HKG-HND does not earn 1789PQM...which doesn't make sense. I think you're probably looking at more like 15899PQM, or 6.2cpm(in USD).

Good luck!
