6500 miles to Delta Gold

Hello all

I'm 6500 miles from retaining Delta Medallion Gold for next year.
I'd like to knock it out fast either with 1 or 2 trips. Any suggestions on a quick weekend or a Friday to Sunday trip?

Thank you in advance!

Last minute run

Airport: lga / jfk / ewr
Miles needed: 15k to diamond
Budget: <1000 (as cheap as possible)
Dates: now until end of year (can't travel 11/9-25, or 12/2-6) - could spend up to 2 nights away, but prefer day run
No other preferences

Looking for the next level

I'm looking to get MQM's to get 25,000 for the next level. Willing to do several day trips or weekend trips.

Departure Airport: MSP
Miles Needed:25,000
Required Spend or Budget:$1-2k
Available Travel Dates: anytime after October
Required Metal or Codeshares okay: Whatever is the best and fastest way to get MQMs.

I'm a big guy so a premium cabin would be preferred but willing to stick it out as necessary.

Departure Airport: JFK / EWR / LGA
Miles Needed: 8.2K MQM
Required Spend or Budget: $500-$1000
Available Travel Dates: anytime between 10/14-11/1 | 12/12-12/31
Required Metal or Codeshares okay: Open

I am almost wondering if it would be easier and cheaper to open a Delta Reserve Card with the Current 10K MQM promotion.

*** edit - apologies as I did not see the recent thread above regarding NYC departures

You can do this with five day trips to the west coast with the right routing. You should be able to find flights around $300. For example, MSP-SEA-LAX-ATL-MSP day trip 11/1 is $280, 5190 miles. Premium cabin is out of your price range - I guess you'd need at least 3K spend.

Great routing!
What's the alternative in an international routing (US passport)?

1. Can you make it a three day weekend? Three days are necessary for most Asia destinations which are what you need given your mileage requirements.
2. Can you make it a four day weekend? This might allow positioning to a better starting city resulting in a lower overall price.
3. Do you have a China visa?
