Those who are going to CMB to re positioning, consider going to at least South India ...ity of Chhnai is a great tourist location ( look up MAHABALipuram) a UNESCO sight. It is just a hop from CMB. Check out visa requirements also...If you have 4-5 days fly to Delhi, do the Taj Mahal and the Rajastan Golden triangle. Trip

I got in before the expiration. Thanks to the OP for the great deal. Great price at $1,116. This makes the cost of the positioning flight a worthwhile deal. Those who didn't get in there will be more deals from CMB. Don't worry. I'm waiting for the $1,500 BKK-DOH-LAX to return for a third time.

Just ticketed two roundtrips that I put on hold yesterday, snagged YYZ-TPE-SIN-CMB space in J, and secured hotel nights for two 20 hour connections in DOH.
All in all, incredible deal for $1116 (potentially slightly less if my topcashback credit goes thru). A big shout out to @Philam24 for sharing this deal with us!

I start in CMB, but need to position myself to CMB so found award space on BR/SQ YYZ-TPE-SIN-CMB.
I will need to do the same after the 2nd CMB-PHL trip completes booking one way ticket CMB-USA.. Hoping to grab CX F to JFK using AS miles.

I also have to RTs ticketed, with my second one beginning the morning after my first one arrives in CMB. I wonder how many people on my flights flights are going to be doing this run!
Positioning I am doing a RT JFK-CDG on AA, with SWUs on request, and then a couple days in Paris each way with CDG-CMB RT on EY in J (booked with AA miles).

Booked this myself - ORD based so bought a one way ORD-DOH-BKK on QR for $500 then BKK-CMB on UL for $240. To get back home, scored CMB-AUH-JFK on EY on a J/F award (first time in The Apartments) and then AA on the LGA-ORD leg. Still waiting to figure out what I want to do on the PHL-ORD legs as I am doing the outbound in May and the return trip in August.

just curious. It will be tough for me to catach the 2055 flight our of CMB that connect directly to PHL flight.
If I take 0300 am flight out of CMB, I will end up 19 hours in DOH. Will QR provide accommodation? If not, any hotel nearby or it is better to go to town?
