Given that LAX-CDG-LHR-CDG-LAX is ~12,000 miles, I am very confused where they are even getting that number.
It's the new Flying Blue earning rate (I presume you are talking about what the AF website is telling you).

I am being quoted a figure below 4,000 so I guess I got a much cheaper ticket than you

THIS! +1
I wouldn't dare touch this ticket until someone successfully flies one and even then caveat emptor

Indeed, there surely is someone already holding a boarding pass for the morrow...

Amazing find!
Picked up a OW from LAX in March. Let's see if it sticks.

RIGHT! I forgot they went revenue based, I used to use that number as a key to how many MQMs I was going to get!

I'm being quoted that figure because my DL SM # is attached, which matches me to FB Platinum, which gets a boost

Which means you are flying before the new FB programme launches on 1 April 2018....

It's weird that they would see you entered an FFP number from a different programme, go and check your status in that other programme - and still tell you what you would earn in Flying Blue when it should be apparent to them that you are NOT going to earn FB miles.

But hey! I'm not complaining! Sometimes these little technical gremlins work in our favour ;-)

It depends on the date of travel. After April 1st, you'll get 4-8x the fare, ignoring some surcharges. Before that, you basically get 300% flight distance.

Each RT should generate about 25K DL MQM and 7k DL MQD. I booked two of these tix. Great sale fare :-)

I know there is the possibility that they can claw this back... but if you have an E-ticket for your trip(s), are you good?

No; having an e-ticket issued is NOT a definite end point for this. There could be a lot of twists and turns still to come.

Stay tuned.
