Not reversable as far as I can see. I would book in a heartbeat if this was USA->Europe at this price.

The Nice option has a layover in Zurich if you wanted to get off..... on the last leg BACK to Europe.

Sounds right. Price still there but when clicking through it jumps up. Just booked a MUC-SFO trip on the AC website. Thanks OP! Didn't care much about the miles this time, just wanted to fly upperdeck on a 747 (LH codeshare)

You can get the new Polaris seats on certain days by routing via FRA. Best product on the route. You can also get new LX 77W but I find the footwell a bit cramped on those.

I really wanted to do that, but I hated the fact that even if not on UA ticket stock, RDM accrual is based on whatever fare UA attributes to the segment

Agreed - that is the main reason I stuck to AC most of the time. I have one LX ticket to try their 77W, but the others are on AC. Besides, AC's Business Class seats in the Dreamliners are excellent I think.

Looks like it's gone (as of 8:28 pm EST, I was still able to book at 8:15 pm)

When I was able to book it, checked the fare rules, which are deal breakers

1. Minimum 6 days (not with sky high hotel rates in SF area)
2. No stopover allowed

Will be ready for the next deal to East Coast

Yes, flew AC last year and the AC biz seat on the dreamliner is great. It gives a very private feeling without being claustrophobic.

When will I learn? Just spent an hour playing with this and now it's over.

Probably for the best as SFO isn't so convenient for positioning.

Definitely gone now. @vincewy agree it died in the last 15 minutes. Some results still cached but all returning the 'your fare has repriced to XXX'

Well that was quite smart. I wish I booked AC, and that's not something I'd often say. Their reverse herringbone seats blow LH/LX out of the water comfort-wise, and when crediting to UA, P fares earn 200% RDM before premier bonuses, whereas LX/LH only earn 100%.
