Original premium fare deal was for QR J class travel, originating in Vietnam (SGN and HAN) to several destinations across the Americas, Europe, and Africa. Travel period 8/2017 - 3/2018 inclusive, RT fares in the USD 500 - 700 range (USD $0.05 base fare).
Reports have now been circulating that all held, non-purchased fares have been canceled by the airline. Some held and then purchased fares were also canceled, but several reports indicate at least some of those have been re-instated.

This wikipost is intended to help us better understand if there are any trends (by route, travel date, and/or held/ticketed status) in these cancellations. In all entries, please include: outbound or inbound departure date, origin-destination, original ticket status (only *if* "Held" or "Ticketed after Hold"), and current ticket status only *if* your ticket was cancelled ("Cancelled" or "Cancelled & Reinstated").

Not sure why my entry in the wiki was deleted. But I have a glorious update! My originally held itinerary that was ticketed around 2:30am on July 31 and was cancelled has now been REINSTATED! I was about to send them an email this morning to get it in writing that the flight is indeed cancelled so I can make alternative plans as I do have legitimate travel needs. Out of a whim, I plugged in my PNR under manage my booking and voila! Its back!
Despite the PNR reinstated, any ticket no. associate with your PNR?
edit: checked for several PNR with similar situation from several friends, all of them appears to be reinstate from time 1200Z/01AUG

My ticket still holds as well, planning to book position flights soon from the west coast (SFO preferably, but flexible) if anyone has good suggestions for positioning.

Errrr... word of advice from someone who has flown both carriers long-haul: Do yourself a massive favour and spend roughly USD150 more to fly with CX instead of MU. You will have a MUCH nicer experience and arrive in a much better mood, especially considering that you will be flying almost half-way around the world to get positioned there from the US East Coast.
[As it happens, QR is the cheapest way to position from AMS on most dates!!!

I put one ticket on hold HAN-DFW 12/2- return 3/3/18 shortly after the sale was announced......then purchased the ticket about two hours later, and got a confirmation with a ticket number. Tried to check the status yesterday by plugging in the PNR on the QR website, and the ticket appeared to be cancelled. Tried again this morning, and my ticket was restored! Go figure......

you can try using http://eticket.qatarairways.com/eTic...rentrypage.jsf -- fill in your confirmation number, last name, and choose "send by mail" -- though i think this only works if you have an email address associated with your reservation.
