[FARE GONE] AA / BA: SFO-FRA $2200 (J) June onwards

With AARP discount and CARDOFFERU this goes as low as $1816 booked through BA.

Google flights search.

Doesn't seem to be to anywhere else in Europe, but this is a great summer rate for US-Europe.

Booked through AA some routes will get you over 30000 EQM (J transcontinental, I transatlantic) and 2000 EQDs, while booking through BA looks like about 1800 EQMs but 2600 EQDs (hasty mental calculations - do correct me if it seems wrong).

I was about to post this one. Several dates all summer to different EU cities. Under $2200 for Lisbon and several cities in Italy including VCE, BLQ and NAP. FCO is a little over $2500 before discounts.

Seems to be available until Sept. Also, NCE. Now, if I just knew how to dump the fuel surcharge....

The lowest fare must be ticketed by 30Apr. Slightly higher fare doesn't show this ticketing deadline.

I took a different strategy. AA metal to Frankfurt. Lots of festivals in August.

Great find, OP.

Lots of cities on this. I've seen:

Sweden: ARN/GOT
France: NCE
Italy: VCE/NAP/PSA/GOA/BLQ/TRN
Portugal: LIS/OPO

And it appears to go thru end of schedule.

It seems like you can book SFO-JFK-DFW-FRA as valid routing.

If you can get bulk fare with thank you points etc. might be able to push this upto 4400 EQD with that route.

SFO-JFK-DFW = 8,000 miles RT * .03 (for J) = 2400 eqd
DFW-FRA =10,000 miles RT * .02 (for I) = 2000 eqd

TXL is available now with good connections.

Most dates I pick for FRA still show 3 hops or long layovers.

Booked to Bologna in September, Nice in March. Watched this fare evolve during the day from summer only to much broader availability, primarily on combinations of AA and BA metal. Ended up with two bookings made right around midnight (PDT). If time today (and the fare hasn't been pulled) may try to rack up some style points. (Edit: Fare still good, 5/1/17, am PDT, diminishing dates).

BTW, in the course of the search, noticed there is a separate SFO-Spain J fare that's virtually unrestricted going for roughly $2500.

Are you talking about the ~2550 BA fares with a $250 per direction cancellation fee?

Fare gone?

The ~$2K fares to ARN and LIS that I was looking at about an hour ago appear to be gone.

SFO MAD Business $2,500 price gone now $3,300

I was just looking at Google flights to see if any sale prices still available.

I found lots of availability at $2,556 through December on Both AA and BA metal..

When I tried to book things got strange and price had jumped to $3,300 though searches still were yielding $2,556.

Checked Matrix and the price was at $3,300. Missed getting booked by minutes perhaps??? I wish that I had seen this thread sooner!
