Great find. Thanks OP!

I'll pass on this though as they might as well downgrade you as they did for the BRU fares...

Too bad you can't fly this one within a few days. Probably will be downgraded or full refund, like last time.

SEZ and TNR are among the most interesting destinations there, and the fare to any of those is about $700

Great fare, thanks for sharing. Booked Cape Town directly with Ethiopian for later this year. Will hold for a while before making any further arrangements and see what happens. If downgrade will just ask for refund.

Not bothering. Highly expect they'll pull the same antics they did before with the downgrades.

Best to book and try and fly within the next few days, or at least within 14 days so it falls under EU261 if downgraded.

AFAIK the EU261 rules regarding downgrades apply always (not just <=14 days ahead of travel). The rules only state that the airline as 7 days to reimburse passengers accordingly (max 75% of the ticket price).

That said, I'm not sure whether EU261 applies completely. The first question would be if Norway applies the EU261 regulations or similar rules (it isn't EU member and hence isn't required to do so. Apparently Norwegian consumer protection is rather good.).

You have a departure from an EU airport (ARN), so technically EU261 should be applicable for the flight ex ARN, but ET will certainly argue that the point of departure of the ticket is outside the European Union.

EU261 regulations are valid for Norway.
