Now we are just waiting for reports from pax being successful in changing travel dates without the fare being recalculated (and not just rebooking the return flights after flying the outbound)

Unless you need the refund urgently, you should wait until we know how ET will deal with these tickets once people start traveling on these tickets. There has been no public reaction from ET so far but it may change when people start traveling next week. The last ET fare mistake lead to downgrade to Y (+ refund of 75% of the fare) or cancel/refund. If this is the outcome, it will be very easy for you to cancel/refund (but let us hope it will not be come to this again).

I should point out that, while it is probably possible, it would be incredibly stupid to attempt to make any changes to any mistake fare. Don't provoke the sleeping dragon or you might find yourself in trouble....
