Indeed they do. A few months ago I flew the OSL-SYD I paid 1400€ for when they had a flash sale. No error fare at all. The best part is that I got upgraded to First class back and forth on the A380.
Had it been an error fare they would have tried to downgrade me instead....

I didn't get an email about the 4X or the promo, but when I called the Qmiles service desk they said they could manually register me. Did anyone else have a similar experience?
They did mention that the registration must take place prior to the booking.

- To be eligible for the bonus Qmiles, members will need to register for this offer before 16 January 2017.
- Members whose travel date is before 16 January 2017 should register at least 24 hours prior to travel.
- To register, members need to log into their account at qmiles.com, go to “My Offers” from the Dashboard menu and click on the registration link for this offer. Alternatively, members may also register by calling Privilege Club Member Service Centre or by visiting any Qatar Airways sales office.
- Members should ensure they quote their Privilege Club membership number at the time of booking or check-in
It says nowhere to be registered before booking.

I was tempted, but fare only ran to mid-December (as part of the Travel Fair rules). Nipping over between Christmas and New Year would have been nice!
I'm getting out and about on OW airlines this year as a result, 4 MH long haul flights, 4 QR LH flights. I feel I should book something on Cathay or JAL as well now

As always not sure if you can trust everything the CSR says.
