They actually never got back to me. They credited my account, but never responded to my e-mail. I just left it at that, because I didn't particularly feel like asking for the remaining 2,500 EQM/5,000 RDM. (how not very FT of me)

Ah there we go...

10/3-10/4 PDX-SFO-FLL-LAX-JFK-SFO-PDX was changed to PDX-SFO-LAX-SFO-PDX.

I'll wait to see what other folks on here do, if anything. At least i got 2 runs out of it.

I want to say they can. Airlines are legally obligated to get you to your destination. That's all.

Well, there are more caveats than that, but in this case the conclusion is right.

The AS ORC T&Cs say that ORC only applies to cancelled, Alaska flights. Anything above that is a customer service gesture.

Not saying it won't work, but I wouldn't stake my requalificstion on it..

well my itinerary change has me overnighting in LAS now, so unless they offer to pay for my hotel, i expect them to re-instate SFO-JFK-LAS as opposed to me overnighting in LAS.

Figures i get a call from PDX that flight has MX delay and that im going to misconnect (i see what they mean by airport being most helpful). I was told the airport person could only rebook on AS and that i had to call to request refund. I called and they refuse to refund and taking $100 to put in travel bank. DOT complaint going through after this call is done.

Now that I think more about it, since it was one of the messed up schedule changes it should have been refundable all along.

Hope you guys have saved the GF screenshots showing multi city search thus making east coast airports true destinations. I see this as grounds for recovering transcon segments or getting a full refund. Otherwise you are SOOL

If the schedule changes had to happen it was timed right. Will use the AA sea-cun F/J promotion fare from earlier in the week to make up the for the AS eqms and make it into a vacation(s) at the same time.

This might be a way to go after Google (I personally doubt it), but the contract bought from VX is from PDX to LAX.

fixed @ airport

Went to airport early for a different trip. Got 4 trips fixed back to original routing (3 doubles and 1 single). Took about 45 min. At first they were confused on what the hell i was doing. After explaining and chatting them up about travel and food they were happy to help out.

good luck to everyone.

Which airport, if you don't mind sharing? And did you purchase direct/Google checkout or through an OTA?

I have zero intention of "giving up" the trip--I need the miles too much and even if I didn't, I still want the miles so I fully expect we should all be able to re-instate the original itineraries, it's just gonna take a considerable amount of time so prepare for that.

Thank you! Gives me hope. I guess I'll try PDX's staff and see if they'll be as helpful.

Could you butter up the VX agents at PDX so it's smooth sailing when I stop by to fix mine?

I honestly never even considered trying to fix this at the airport although it might be a good idea....Since PDX is such a small operation, I kinda feel bad having an airport agent take 45 min from their other duties to fix this....
