I think I might have been just a bit too late. Tried to book FLR-SGN-DUS with AF outbound and NH inbound for 633 Euro.

Booking went through on ebookers but no booking confirmation, no etix

mherdeg Dec 9, 2016 10:09 am

Fascinating.

zoqfotpik Dec 9, 2016 10:26 am

This fare looks quite "generous" for this route. :D

Also available if you go Down Under.

raporot Dec 9, 2016 10:34 am

where to book?

zoqfotpik Dec 9, 2016 10:41 am

try priceline

KosherKimchee Dec 9, 2016 10:49 am

Got it to price out in August from FLR-ICN but unfortunately I got a system error from the Mrs. when I told her we should swing by Seoul after our Italian vacation.

Richmond_Surrey Dec 9, 2016 10:52 am

Expedia shows some of these flights, but Google is excellent with some of the options, for around £500 to SYD with a lot of different combinations and it works even for outbound next week.

But be careful because some combinations include Economy for the same price on last leg from AUH.

Yes! Got CPT / JNB with the direct KL flight which I need to go back to AMS. Whole family booked! Curious what will happen next...

PragueTravellerCZ Dec 9, 2016 11:58 am

Works also with NAN (OJ, NAN must be outbound route, tried with AKL on the inbound)..

I did not even think of adding SA to the mix

expedia.co.uk multiple city search, works a treat

f0zzyNUE Dec 9, 2016 12:14 pm

it's a fare FLR-DUS with routing option "via eastern hemisphere" - "travel must not be direct"

same mistake as the domestic AZ Y fares one or two years ago.

benzemalyonnais Dec 9, 2016 12:14 pm

Flr-tpe/bkk-dus, ci+az, nh. $650

thepaul500 Dec 9, 2016 12:20 pm

GUM works as well

Incorrect. I got CX Airbus 359 for HKG-DUS direct flight for the return.

ncSam Dec 9, 2016 12:25 pm

Is Expedia's $7 booking fee refundable within 24h? I was trying to book on Priceline but it kept failing. I booked through Expedia and got ticketed within minutes.

Bloomsbury Dec 9, 2016 12:25 pm

Just booked (via ebookers) FLR-CDG-BKK (all air france) / BKK-HKG-DUS (all Cathay)

eBookers says it's ticketed @ £636.60.

Thanks for the heads-up OP!

HKG-DUS isn't a direct flight between FLR and DUS now, is it?

zboub345 Dec 9, 2016 12:27 pm

Which J class is better, NH 787 or SQ A350?

SEA-Flyer Dec 9, 2016 12:32 pm

FLR-FCO-NRT-DUS on Orbitz. Hope it sticks, but won't be surprised if it doesn't.

maudline9 Dec 9, 2016 12:33 pm

Guys whatever you do, DO NOT book with eDreams
Amazing find OP thanks

nov11 Dec 9, 2016 12:35 pm

Thank you florens! Booked FLR-FCO(AZ)-NRT(AZ) // AKL-HKG(CX)-DUS(CX) for €740.

Tried to do FLR-CDG(AF)-SIN(AF) // AKL-HKG(CX)-DUS(CX) for €678 but it wouldn't book and I've tried on a few OTA.

For those who want to save on the $7 booking fee from US-based OTA, you can book on European based OTA and you won't be charged the $7 ticketing fee (non-refundable even for the first 24 hours). Since this fare is totally refundable (per fare rules), IMO, you don't need the 24 hours cooling period ;)

$479 USD FLR-VVO//MOW-LHR-(DUS.) Cheapest way I've ever seen if you wanted to ride trans-siberian and LHR based. Wow.

SQ hands down, but I think it's also a bit more expensive.

tymoon25 Dec 9, 2016 12:38 pm

Those are pretty intense fares!

Got FLR-FCO-TYO-HKG-SYD-HKG-DUS with all the last four legs on CX in J-class for €820.

You can also price stuff like FLR-MXP-AUH-SYD-AUH-FCO-DUS *few months stopover* and then DUS-ROM-TYO-CDG-FLR all of this for about €920 with AZ/EY on the outbound and AF on the inbound.

Shl Dec 9, 2016 12:38 pm

Booked

FLR-MEL
MEL-DUS
(Easter)

stop-over

DUS-CMB
CMB-FLR
(last May Bank Holiday)

ET and Al Italia

GBP 784

zoqfotpik Dec 9, 2016 12:39 pm

My conscience finally got the best of me. Booked FCO-CDG-SIN on AF, then SIN-DUS on EY with 2 day stopover in AUH. I'm now $700 poorer lol.

Morgo Dec 9, 2016 12:40 pm

Could someone give me an example itinerary to and from AKL that prices up? I'm struggling to find one.
