There are no guarantees with any of these tickets. What you say would HAVE to be the case, but may not be enough to be "good to go".

I am sure that check-in staff/boarding agents in FLR and DUS will be told to be on the lookout for any 055 tickets that may have slipped through the cracks...

If you're plated on another carrier you should be good to go.

Regarding Amex chargeback I sent the proof that airline involuntarily cancelled part of my booking, yet my bank clerk is still telling me they need a written response from seller (ie Expedia.com or Alitalia) before they can initiate a chargeback. Is that normal or should I change my bank? Just annoyed I have to deal with Expedia morons instead of letting bank to do that.

It's perfectly normal. Although they should apply a credit while the dispute is investigated so you do it need to pay.

Thanks. I was bit lax in my writing, what I meant, is that bank clerk asked ME to produce that Expedia/Alitalia written answer. Is that really my responsibility?

Yes, you called to dispute the charge so you need to provide he justification for that dispute.

Well, I expected the involuntary ticket change email by Expedia was enough of justification, but it is not?

It should be, yes. Have they asked for more than that?

If the email of the involuntary change isn't enough:

1) Ask them specifically what they need
and
2) Find a new bank / credit card

Tired to call expedia.it for refund. I called them at least 10 times, but all the time they answer that they are waiting from Alitalia instructions. I will stop calling and i will chargeback with Amex ( lucky that i bought tickets with Amex and not with another card )
It's almost 20 days that i'm waiting, really too much!

Called expedia.com to get refund, agent hung up on me for second after "checking on reservation details" ...same thing happened 3 weeks ago. Strange.

I still have a ticket, and didn't get any news or changes form OTA or AZ.

When i check my ticket on OTA, Saudi and myflightapp everything looks ok.
I can choose seats for all outboundflights on the 2 different operating airlines, who also both show my full itinerary in bussiness.

So far so good, but...

For the returnflight, with a third airline, I have a preassigned seat in bussiness, but when I want to change this seat online I get the seatmap but cannot change. Also this third airline shows my full itinerary all flights in bussiness except one of the returnflights with doesn't show a class of service.
When i check my ticket on the AZ site, i only get to see the returnflights all in bussiness.

Outboundflights are all on flightnumbers of the operating airline, returnflight is on AZ flightnumbers but all operated bij another airline.

Is there anything else I can check/do to know if I could fly this one...??

Are you sure Saudi doesn't show each coupon as "exchanged/reissued"????

This is usually the ONLY sign.

Then that e-ticket has been voided by Alitalia, and exchanged for a new one.

Hence, check Saudia again which will show you that the coupons were exchanged/reissued.

Despite cancelling my booking, the "return" section of my ticket on EK still shows on their systems and allows to me book a chauffeur. I've now booked BA flights for our intended travel, which just happen to leave from the same airport at around the same time. Not that I'd think about doing such a thing... but would it even be possible to book this or do they escort you to checkin etc?

No, you make your own way from the car drop-off to check-in. But seeing as your coupon is not valid I would expect EK to also pick up on that and cancel your chauffeur drive.
