Indeed. My advice would be stop flapping and just wait to see what happens. When something does happen to your booking then pick up the phone a deal with it. Constantly posting questions about it and concocting reasons why you think your booking will be missed all seems a bit pointless.

I have intact booking for January.
Is that risk real? It looked to me like the poster did actually make in on board the flight to Sydney (from google translate):

Do not fall for the troll!
The idiot is only envious because he missed the offer. : D
I am flying just comfortably and very well at the Etihad A380 about 500 miles south of Ayers Rock.
Everything worked perfectly. Only the chauffeur service I then but no longer booked. That was too delicate to me.

Just bought this for the fun of it and because it lets me try some new airlines.

But the person you replied to said the "not cancelled" bookings:
No-one should be talking about those!

All three bookings still alive and well. None of them are extremely silly and all are for travel in Autumn 2017.
Happy to wait this out and see what happens. I have little faith in the ability of Alitalia to manually amend ALL of these tickets.
I flew 6 Vikings and also got in on the '*A Viking' last year.
Conversely I had a Bratwurst and a Tequila fare cancelled.
I feel like keeping these AZ tickets would make for a fairly decent batting average

I doubt that one of the postings is true. Lot of dumbasses following and commenting on German blog posts to fool others. Do not take them serious.

Are you guys sure that it's clever to not pro-actively cancel?
It looks like Alitalia is taking over the tickets from OTAs which means that they are in control of when to send the money back.
Given their recent liquidity problems and a financial situation close to bankruptcy I guess they will try to stretch the time until they pay you back to the maximum. Worst case: they go bust and you never see the money.
What they do right now is pretty smart:
Cancel all bookings that are SkyTeam, leave the *A and OW legs in the booking to hurt the competing alliance. Take over the booking so that OTAs can't cancel and they are in control of the liquidity.
They are hurting the competition, hurting error fare customers by taking their money and secure their own financial situation. That's how you make a bad situation to work in your favour, pretty impressive.

Let's see what will happen today. The creative AZ re-routing has touched the tickets up to end of may 17'. SO far I have not seen any e-ticket re-routed after may. In the meantime yesterday some OTA informed that they would have provided within 24 hrs an alternative solution to the customers affected by AZ re-routings. I don't trust it too much, but it's not so uncommon that during EF tickets are being cancelled, re-routed and the re-instated, probably due to a deeper legal and commercial analysis from the airlines.

I booked with travelup too and my flight leaves in 2 weeks. Flight has been changed to Florence to Dusseldorf via Rome. Let me now if anyone receives a refund from travelup. I will wait a few more days before pushing.

It's pretty common that the airline take control of the ticket from the OTA after an error fare.
